Reviews For Victim of the Fall
Title: Strings

i am soooo glad that nothing happened, as much as the bad side of me wanted it to. they seem so greatly matched and i''m really wondering how deep Andrew''s feelings run for Ingrid. he says he can''t leave like there''s some sort of obligation to her. though Dana seems a bit emotionally mechanical, i feel for her character. the explanation is great and eye-opening. i''m really rooting for these two.

btw, super great, but dumb (in a good way) creepy cast. Aaliyah? Heath? and Michelle? gawd, even Jake. just . . . perfect, yet so creepy.

i adore this story, woman. you have a wonderful handle on your characters, settings, and storytelling. i''m not sure of the entire intent or just how dark you plan to go, but there is an ominous tone to it that absolutely enjoy. i think the casting goes hand-in-hand with that as well. the two leads are dead, almost like star-crossed lovers (hate Romeo & Juliet, btw). it already sets the stage in some dark shadows. the tragedy of both flourishing, amazing lives and careers cut short by (mostly) unforseeable circumstances and events. craziness.

all that to say, love, love, love this story and it is now a favourite.

Author''s Response:

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, intellectual. I am really happy you are enjoying this story, it means so much.

To be honest though, I was sort of thrown by some of the things you said, I wasn''t exactly sure if it was crititicism. lol Im not sure how something can be dumb in a good way but I respect your opinion.

The truth is my casting thing was purely based on just using images and already built associations. What really inspired me was not only the physical pairing of the two, I''ve always thought they would ook really good together. But it was also imagery. In all of my fics, I use pictures of people as characters who are in real life associated with each other, purely based on imagery purposes. I love using pictures in my stories and I make trailers as well, but I am hopeless at blending pictures together, hence I want to be able to use actual photos. As I wrote the story, those were the characters I kept seeing, even though I tried to use different pictures of different people for the trailer, it didn''t work the same. The persona fit the characters well and although I was worried what people would think, in the end I decided to just go for it.

rn

But I am really glad you sense an omnious tone, the circumstance (an affair) is something that normally does not end well and I am glad you have detected it so early.

rn

Again, thank you so much for your honest review, I really do appreciate it.
