Title: Soul Clenched

(trying, struggling to breathe calmly)

rn

I haven''t even read this chapter yet. I only made it to your chapter notes in the beginning about the cretin who gave you a bad review. I''m filled with so many emotions, I don''t know where to start first!

rn

Had you stopped this story after that review, girl....I would have tracked you down to smack you around until you realized that YOU SHOULD NEVER STOP WRITING!

rn

The next time you start to doubt yourself, please remember Vladimir Nabokov''s ''Lolita''. That was and is a controversial book but yet is regarded as *classic literature* and is on several...let me say this again, SEVERAL lists for being one of the best books of the 20th century!

rn

This story is fiction and your right to free speech that does not spread hate.

rn

But better yet, this story is realistic with its flawed characters in a way that siezes many of us b/c we see aspects of ourselves here.

rn

Keep writing. We''ll keep reading.

rn

That. is. all.

Author''s Response:

Aww thank you so much Islandlass! That''s so sweet of you, I will keep writing, not to worry!

Title: Soul Clenched

okay, so i missed two updates, but i''m all caught up. so glad i am too cuz i missed this story. it''s moving along well; that scene with them at the party last chapters was a-mazing! talk about hawt! so wrong, but damn that was good! and as far as this chapter, i friggin'' knew he felt obligated to her! smh.

rn

now onto what really kinda pissed me off: who in the hell told you that you ought to be ashamed of yourself for writing this story?! NEVER, EVER LET SOMEONE MAKE YOU THINK TWICE ABOUT YOUR STORY ON A MORALITY TIP. this person must live with rose-coloured glasses on, because affairs happen, people meet others and fall out of love to walk into lust all the time. it''s human, it happens. who ever wrote that to you is not a writer, at least not a good one. this story isn''t about promoting infidelity; it''s simply a story that is well-written with complex, realistic characters and a heavy plot. don''t let that person get you down. this is a free website for people to show talent and you have it.

rn

that shit pissed me off beyond belief. do not take this story down b.c of that email. that was rude, inconsiderate, and bull-headed of that person. i''ve received negative feedback on a few of my stories but i only use it as fuel to write more. they don''t have to agree with what i write; this is a free country. go read something else or if you critisize, make it constructive and not some pseudo-morality lecture. ugh.

rn

oooo, who was it?! i wanna email them!

rn

please continue with this story. haters gon'' hate.

Author''s Response:

Hey mouse, thank you so much for your show of support, it means so much!

rn

The writer had an issue with the casting of the story as well as the content. The thing is I am not using actual names or true life events, but she still claimed it disrespectful. I wasn''t really sure what to say, because I had the two main leads used in a story about drug addiction which was shot down too so I didn''t end up posting it.

rn

With all my stories though I used very flawed, messed up people. Writing happy characters in happy love stories is just not my thing. So I guess those who don''t like will just have to deal with it. My concern was that everyone was feeling the way this one person was, and I thought if that was the case, I would have to just delete it. But since it isn''t I will keep writing. Again, thank you for all your support, I will keep updating!

This is your story and we are just happy that you want to share it with us. You should never let anyone discouraged you. This is your work, and you should be proud of it. It’s a FICTION story so if someone is not mature enough that to read it then they shouldn’t. It’s as easy as that. Despite my views on relationships and affairs, I have not taken any offense to this story. I think its entertaining and its very interesting to read about these things in a different perspective.  Usually the main characters are always sweet, perfect and faithful. So to read things from the “other girl” POV is nice.

rn

Great chapter. After this, I don’t really feel that sorry for Ingrid anymore.

Author''s Response:

Thank you for your kind words, it is much appreciated!

I love that background info from this chapter. Now I'm excited to find out what happens during Dana and Andrew's next encounter, and will Dana meet Ingrid? That would be really interesting.

Also, please excuse my language, but fuck that person who thiks that he/she has the right to make you feel bad for listening to your muse. This is an excellent story and you are an amazing writer, so continue doing what you want to do and what makes you happy, because I am so happy that you decided to write this story and please write more. You don't need to be ashamed of your work. You put in the effort to entertain all of us, so be proud. And despite my views on relationships and affairs, I have not taken any offense to this story, so I think that person might have a personal problem and needs to keep his/her bullshit to his/herself.

Thank you Kirstin, I tell myself it doesn't matter but then I got the email and I was worried it wasn't just her but probably everyone. Thank you for your review and for the encouraging words! I will update soon!

Title: Soul Clenched

I just started reading this story and am enjoying it immensly.

rn

Andrew really needs to make up his mind what he wants to do and stick with it; he is so wishy washy about things and when he starts to feel guilty about his actions, projects that to Dana instead of owning up to his short-comings.  He really needs to just grow up or grow some balls, or something:)

rn

Please do continue with this story...I know it''s not everyone''s cup of tea, but variety in story-telling is what makes us unique.  Since this is a work of fiction, folks just need to get off their high horse and either read and enjoy or don''t read.

rn

Just remember; opinions are like asses...everyone has one, so just do what makes you happy.

rn

Looking forward to the next update!
