I'm glad that Chris finally stepped up and started being a friend to Chris. She needed to know the truth. She wasn't solicitous of Chris's feelings so why should they continue to be so toward hers?

I'm prolly one of the few who's on Allegra's side. Can this sista catch a break? Does she have anyone on her side or who has her back? I get that Chris was devasted by her lack of response but can't she eb allowed to mourn the DEATH of her husband. Everyone has Chris's back and spitting venom about Allegra, but who is gonna stand up for her. She lost a husband. Getting over that and moving on is hard, let alone dealing with intense feeling for someone new. Can someone be understanding of what she is feeling? Can Chris stop and take a moment to feel her pain and understand what she is going through. Its all about him and his feelings and his pain and his struggle and no one gives a damn about Allegra. Not even him. Chris needs to get his head out his ass and at least pretend to get to know why Allegra is scared and ran away. Now she has to chase his ass all over town apologizing for being legitmately scared. She has no friends while everyone wants to rip into her for hurting Chris who only have shitty breakup before her. She has a dead husband but somehow a cheating girlfriend trumps that kinda of pain.
Alright enough of my rant. I love you story I just want at least one person to have Allegra's back and understand her fear without regards to Chris's feeling.

Giselle has her back. I'm happy that I finally gained someone else's perspective on the matter. You're probably the only one that doesn't hate Allegra right now. It's a bit hard for me to understand her as I am inside Chris' head, but thanks for illuminating me on the issue. Chris and Allegra still have to learn a lot from each other. That's why they can't be together right now.

That was beautiful, Laurence you are the shit!! I am glad that Laurence tells Allegra like it is becasue Giselle just pussy foots around. He was right Allegra needs to ask Chris to give her another chance right after she explains why she treated him like a baldheaded step-child with bad teeth and leprosy. I give up chapter two thumbs up, but Allegra is not nearly suffering enough.

Chris is brutally honest. He knows that he probably hurt her feelings, but she kind of deserved it. As a friend of hers for a long time, I feel like Laurence was to harsh on her. Yes she was wrong in how she treated Chris, but he knew about her husband and maybe he could have been a little more understanding of it.

Laurence is caught in the middle. He's really mad at Allegra because he can't get past the fact that she broke Chris. He was so depressed and hopeless that he can't seem to forgive her for that. He's always been a great friend to her, being there for her when she needed help the most, but he is honest and tells her what he thinks instead of sugar-coating things for her. She needed a further reality check.

Thank you so much for giving us this glimpse into Allegra's life. I'm definitely not the biggest fan of hers but I would like to know how long it took for her stupidity to register and the light to come on. And you incorporated the pregnancy in the first chapter. I think that it would have been detrimental to them and especially William. He wouldn't have been able to obtain the personal growth that he has.

I toally agree. Children are beautiful little beings, but it would have been incredibly problematic as they wouldn't have been the best of parents with all the issues they had.

It's a good thing she was not pregnant. It may have bought him back, but she would always think that he came back for the baby and not because of her.

I agree with you. She would have been happy because she wanted the baby in the end, but surely Chris would have tried to be with her and their relationship wouldn't be that sincere.
