Eshan's confession about the importance of his family's approval was an addendum or an explanation to what Joss already knew rather than a revelation. They entered into the relationship aware that it could only go so far. Be it lack of experience with love or just being foolhardy, they thought it was worth exploring and something they were capable of later abandoning. Poor babies. They'll learn soon enough. This is an interesting story because Eshan has strong religious beliefs and he's deeply rooted in his Muslim customs. I was surprise they like each other. I don't know how they will have a relationship. Looking forward to the next update

I think that if Joss and Eshan hadn't had the occasion to live under the same roof, they would have never considered each other as a possibility. But proximity creates opportunity. loved the update! I kept wondering why at the end of this chapter Pearl called Eshan "Jesus" and them i realized a couple chapters ago when her mom asked Joss who she liked, she replied Jesus lol. Very clever! I guess her mom knows who she cares about after all

Joss' mom is quite the character...a poster child for ethnic intolerance. The way she semed to deliberately mis-pronounce Shahira's name and called Eshan "Aladdin" was pretty rude and ignorant.
Poor Joss, she's truly caught between a rock and a hard place..hope she continues to protect her heart because I can see Eshan breaking it without necessarily meaning to do so.
I'm torn between wanting them to be together and wanting Joss to run for the hills. I see so much potential with them as a couple, but so much potential heartbreak also.

Pearl is an unmitigated mess. Her calling Eshan "Aladdin" is pretty much what it appears to be. But the mispronunciation of Sahirah's name is a behavoir I patterned after my grandmother and her friends (all in their seventies and older, like Pearl). I have no idea why they do it. It's definitely not based on racial prejudice since they do it to everyone, including me.
Eshan and Joss stand to lose or gain a lot depending on how this all turns out. We'll see which soon.

Her momma is rude and very set in her ways. Joss is allowinf him to purposely hurt her knowing that the relationship will go no further due to his religious beliefs Allah would approve Eshan's reckless regard of her heart. Love it!

Something has to give...
I think she should leave the bed where he moved it because if she doesn't then Sahirah will know he moved it.
Maybe she should stay at her mothers house while Sahirah's family is in town that can't be comfortable to be there when they come.
About him... well she's going to have to decide what's best for her. Living like this or trying to move on.
Don't know if I fully agree with her mothers statement though..she is right and kinda wrong.

Gosd; I really feel for these two...wish things could be more simple. Life is pretty complicated though, so I guess that's what makes your stories so real...they imitate real-life situations.
Shahira cannot be that dense...does she really think that she is the only special woman in Chris' life? I mean, who knows what kinda diseases he might have if he is sleeping with that many women...that is just yuck...lol...

I don't trust that Chris, he wants Joss and I don't understand how Hirah can't see that? He practically undresses Joss with his eyes. Eshan made quite the confession but it doesn't make him less of an ass. Joss you can't handle the type of relationship where you just have sex with Eshan as you are already a little in love with him.
