I can't believe Natalia actually went to Philadelphia, it says a lot about their love for each other that she went and they weathered the storm of meeting some of Anthony's family together. I can't wait to see what the reactions of the rest of the family will be at the funeral when they show up!

The longer they wait to tell Anthony about Richard not being his father, the more hurt and betrayed he'll feel. I swear Mercede isn't worth sh*t. She needs to tighten up before she's kicked out of Anthony's life permently. I have a feeling he'll probably not want to talk to her for a very very very long time which is why she needs to tighten with the way she treats Natalia, especially if she wants to see those babies. I bet the family in Philly will shun her too and it's no more than she deserves. Skank.
I'm already anticipating the epic cuss out coming Sabrina's way when she shows up and I know she will because she has no shame whatsoever. I think Nat should fly back to Philly with him so she can be that moral support Anthony will need because he did love his Pop Pop.

As always great updates. Looking forward to more. One thing though, as much as I find Rich's slorish living and general irreverence entertaining, I'm wondering about his children. If I remember correctly he had kids with his estranged wife. He may be estranged from her, but he shouldn't be from his children. I'm joining in the chorus for a Takara and Rich spin-off. That would be some fireworks for sure. But it'd also be nice to see Rich mature and settle down in love.

Thanks for reading and commenting, Tricia! Rich is actually childless. Thomas is the only brother of the three who has kids, at the moment. Rich's wife was ready to start a family but he wasn't, which was a part of the reason they divorced.
My schedule is looking pretty perilous right now, but I'll see if I can squeeze in a story for Takara and Rich. Thanks again!

Love this chapter! hate Barbara though, she's a soul sucking parasite, glad Nat isn't dealing with her shizz anymore. I know Nats the sweet, forgiving type but Barbara doesn't deserve reconciliation or forgiveness...when she brought the baby to guilt trip her and when she defended Richard, bitch please. Okay Barb rant over but seriously, what a bitch. Nat and Ant are the sweetest, the progress is lovely and they seem super solid as a couple and I actually can't wait o see what's gonna happen at the funeral (RIP Pop Pop), it's gonna be a test for them that day if they decide to be more open about their relationship that is. Takara and Rich came out of left field, totally welcomed though. They seem like the perfect fit and Rich seriously does have game. Love this story, favourite story on this site.

The funeral is going to be a real challenge for Ant and Nat. The first big hurdle will be deciding if she'll even be there. More on that next chapter.
I really like Rich and Takara togther. Writing two personalities as strong as theirs might be a bit of a challenge for me, but I'm always looking for one of those.

Rich isn't completely broken from losing his Pop-Pop. Oh, I knew Anthony probably wasn't Richard's child because you talked about how Natalia had to get use to looking at Rich because he looked so much like his dad. And Thomas had his father's features too. I don't know what he is going to do when he finds out. He should be relieved now that he can hate a man that not's related to him. What is puzzling is Richard's refusal to let Anthony know that he is not his biological father. What kind of ego trip is that. Do men really think every woman follows the dainty guidebook and just sits at home while her man plays lifeguard at the pussy pool….please dude...get over yourself. Well, this funeral is going to be something else. Anthony is not going to miss saying goodbye to Pop and Natalia is going to be by his side….Oh my goodness. Lol @ lifeguarding at the the p*ssy pool. Believe it or not, Richard wasn't a complete whore when he was with Mercedes. He became one because of her, though the tendency was already there seeing as how he cheated on his first wife to be with her.
Both Rich and Anthony are hurting over losing Pop-Pop. They really needs this time to grieve in peace, but you know something is bound to pop off. You can save your popcorn. The next chapter won't be THE chapter. Consider it the calm before the storm.

The ending was sad. But damn, the rest.
That funeral is going to be interesting.
Rich is a mess and a ho. I like him and Takara and he must be real good to get at her on first meet. Damn. I'm have to marinate on the fineness that is Rich. I love the relationship between him and Ant. It's hilar but so touching to see the love between those two.
I'm also loving how Nat and Ant are progressing. I hope they can withstand what's about to jump off, 'cause you know that family of his is gone act natural fools when they go home for the funeral.
There are no words for Barabra. Oh yeah there is, restraining order. She is truly vile. I mean, really vile. How has Nat put up with this for all these years. Sister, my ass, I would stay away if not for my mental health. Sometimes, family is not something you want in your life and Barbara is a diseased individual. Someone needs to disappear her.

Rich and Takara are a challenge I'm tempted to answer. I'll have to see how my other projects are looking when this story is done.

Camille was mentioned many, many chapters ago. She's Kline's daughter from a previous relationship and despised by Barbara, hence Nat's shock at Barb having her baby.
Barb is just...that clip says it all.
Now you know Mercedes is going to invite her number one draft pick to the funeral. Question is, will she go and will Nat be there to see her.

Oh my God! Barbara makes me just want to fight her all up in the face Where te hell does she get off. It looks like she hasn't learned nor will she ever. It seems like she with the express purpose of shaming Natalia into forgiving her. I just want her to suffer a little. Could you please make that happen Joelle. I need her to come to a realizationthat she screwed up like Richard did. But honestly, I'm not sure if she has a consciene if she wold bring a baby to sister's house after her loss. Maybe there is hope for Natalia's parents if they want to see those babies (I'm still hoping, lol) but I don't think there is any for Barbara, she's a narcissict. I just want Nat to cuss her out one last time before inviting her out of her life for good.
Sad to hear about Pop Pop dying but I think maybe Nat should tell Anthony the truth before its too late because he's going to be so mad at her and she doesn't need the stress. She needs to be nurturing the babies. If he does find out, there will definitely be more drama but hopefully he will see that she did it because she loves him and not for selfish reasons like Richard. I think he actually might even be relieved that Richard isn't his father and turn on his mother. She deserves it for being a liar all these years.
One final request, please do a story for Takara and Rich, I think Takara can put Rich in his place and she won't take his crap. She'll whip him in to shape and it will give his extended family heart palpitations because another black woman is in the family. haha, that story will be epic. Damn...Nat is going to regret not telling Anthony about Richard not being his biological Dad. It's not her fault, but Ant will be mad anyway most likely, then maybe not, we will see. He is however, I believe, will be livid with his family and brothers. He is going to be lost for a minute. Hopefully he won't shut Nat out. Poor Richard, I believe he was truly sorry for ever hurting Nat, but he realized too late that his own issues that lead him to acting like a total asshole to her made her reach her turning point. And I think the the fact that Richard knew that she loved him, made him losing her that much more tragic because he knew Nat was real with her love and he took it totally for granted.
I hope his death was not suicide, heart attack, or depression related because he honestly was taking Nat's firm stance really hard. The cause of death from something other than his personal life will be a little easier to swallow. Of course, it's awful enough that he died, as it is. I'm not condoning what he did, but he knew he made a huge mistake and I believe Nat forgave him, but she just did not want him back and he was not doing a good job accepting that. Lovely update as usual. You're such and awesome writer! When can we start buying your books?
I almost forgot!! Rich and T. Now that is the story I want to get into and quick. I think her might have met his match lol! The circumstance sucks, but I'm glad she was with Rich when he found out about his dad.

You may be onto something with thinking the news about Richard not being Anthony's father is going to hit him harder than some may think. And he's definitely going to be hurt when he discovers all the people who knew before him and said nothing. How exactly he responds to that remains to be seen.
Pop-Pop, Richard's father and Anthony's grandfather, died. Not Richard (aka Pops). My fault for the similar nicknames. Richard is really tore up over losing Natalia for the very reasons you mentioned, but he's not suicidal. Perhaps homicidal, but definitely not suicidal.
After a lot of time and thought, I've decide not to publish, at least not at this juncture. But I do plan to keep writing and posting. Thanks for the lovely compliment!
I made a promise to myself not to start any new stories until I thin the herd of unfinished ones (and there are A LOT), but I'll see where my inspiration takes me, and if Takara and Rich's story just can't wait : )

"Will Nat go home with Anthony" is a good question, one that will be answered next chapter. Richard didn't know Nat's family knows about Anthony. He thought that by telling Barbara about Nat and Ant living together, he could stir the pot and apply some pressure. And Barbara was just dumb enough to side with him.
I said I wouldn't start any new stories until I finish some of the old unfinished ones haunting my dreams. But Rich and Takara may be too tempting to put on the back-burner. We'll see. Thanks Michmom!
