Hudson is hot and he has been there for Avery all of this time. I don't know why she's thinking about Porter...except if Travis is his son and he doesn't know about him...I don't want Avery to hurt Hudson especially if he's been good to her.

Well I'm definitely getting the vibe that Travis is Porter's. I'm unsure where Hudson fits into this as him and Avery don't appear to be a regular couple. The theories in the reviews are interesting though and seem accurate enough. I like this.

Love the photos of Hudson...perfect. So i'm guessing Porter is Travis's dad? Maybe. Wow, if so I see the drama that's coming. Love this story. Ok we need another update asap. :) Like how Porter has a twin. I think Jess is going to really hate being down here and Porter is going to realize what he misses and what he really wants out of life. Porter and Jess are settling, but within eight yrs he DID move on, so he gets what he gets.
Avery and Hudson have a relationship that works for them. I, too, think she is covering for him (gay) and his covering for her (unwed mother/illegitimate son)---they are in the Bible Belt of the South and in a twon apparently ran/owned by Porter's family.
Wonder what Porter's dad did to break them apart and if his family knows about little seven yr old Travis? Why did Porter never come back for Avery, never even checked up on her? He lsot out on knowing his son.
Hard to empathsize with Porter in his present loveless relationship, and put up next to Hudson...he comes in dead last.

It has been a long time and the two have both moved on. Some more than other's I think though ;) Interesting what you said about Porter's dad! Father and son definitely aren't "close" like he said :)

Who wants Porter when Avery can have Hudson...I wouldn't want Porter if I had Hudson...just saying...this story is confusing...more layers of mystery are added without really providing real clues as to what is happening...but it's still quite early...hopefully clarity will be provided with subsequent chapters...

Really? Avery should not be thinking about Porter at all especially with her current boyfriend. Anyway, I'm guessing her son is Porter's. Keeping that type of info is only necessary in a few situations. But we'll see what happens. Avery may not plan on seeing Porter but Porter will find a way to see her I bet. And wouldn't you know his son will probably be present. I would not want to be her. She obviously isn't in love with Hudson and is comfortable where they are in the relationship. But I think Hudson might want more. He seemed prepared to talk about marriage, but Avery did not want to hear it.

This is interesting! And I like the way you wrote it so far. I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm looking forward to the history and future of Porter and Avery. I like Payton and your use of his character. And I don't dislike Jess; you've made her and Porter a very plausible couple rather than her just being eye candy for him. Porter and Jess' engagement almost seems like a business arrangement...they don't seem in love and maybe it's meant to give that impression...not really much information given here about Porter's reasons for leaving and the relationship between Avery and him...I'm waiting for more...
