Yes, Declan is alive no thanks to Ava-Rain! ! He was in love with Emmy Grace, but wad she is true Mate? Hell naw she wasn't because Ava-Rain is his one. AR being who she will doubt his word regarding his live for her. Caleb's anger and grief is so palpable, that I felt seared by it as I was reading. Lol. AR has got realuze that as an alpha mate all decision effect the pack. She must put pack first. She risked both her life and Declan's for Jennifer who was ever rea)y her friend anyway. Yeah, I'm still ticked with AR. Now they need to prepare for the upcoming battle, I just hope that AR is over her stupidity .

Ava-Rain is definitely his one & only & I most definitely do not want to be in Caleb's shoes when he tells her about Emmy Grace. This revelation certainly isn't going to do her insecurites any favours.
Caleb wasn't even trying to hold back his anger or grief in this chapter, he scared me a little, lol.
Ava-Rain has so much to learn & I think that after this experience her eyes are finally wide open. The pack comes first. Always. So we'll definitely see her come to terms with that in the future. I ain't mad at you for still being ticked with Ava-Rain. I'm still mad, too! But she's back at the den now & Caleb will be running a tight ship from now on, so she'll have no choice but to get over her stupidity, lol.

you know what, i legit love this story. I do have a few things to say:
1. after the whole revalation that emmie whatever her name is, was supposed to be Calebs mate shows me that 1. caleb hasnt fully let her go based on how he talked abut her and 2. he is going to have to prove to ava rain that she is end game for him
2. after caleb tells ava about emmie, i would like to see her back away and make him cry for her for once.
3. IRIS BY THE GOOGOO DOLLS NEEDS TO BE THE THEME SONG FOR THIS STORY

Caleb has definitely NOT let Emmy Grace go. He loved that girl enough to want to claim her as a mate & had she not died, she would be. Talk about another complication thrown into their already complicated relationship.
Poor Ava-Rain will have a hard time accepting that revelation once it is revealed & she'll probably always question her place in Caleb's life. But there will be so many things going on that probably won't permit her to back away. Lol, it will take a lot to make Caleb cry—he's not the best with dealing with his emotions—but there may be some tears in the second part of this chapter.
OMG, I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! It's always on repeat in my Alpha soundtrack! I've always thought that the chorus alone perfectly describes this story! You'll probably see a chapter titled with a lyric from this song at some point, since that's kind of my thing with my stories. Ava-Rain will be devastated! Caleb was to be the first person who really belonged to her, yet he gave himself to another... our girl can't seem to win...she just wants to know true, deep and abiding love and acceptance that should come from your mate...but her mate already gave his away...and Ava-Rain is still 2nd best...or maybe not good enough at all...Caleb does not know her history, so he doesn't understand the pain his rejection is causing and will only be amplified by the truth...he doesn't deserve her...deep down he doesn't think he does...Ava-Rain has to reach deep within and find her power, so Caleb will know that he can only be a truly powerful Alpha with his true other half by his side...he has to allow Ava-Rain to complete him...I so love this story...I was so happy to see this update...you so rock!

Caleb really, REALLY loved Emmy Grace & if she had not died, they'd be mated right now. Talk about complicated. I don't know how Ava-Rain is going to handle that. Like you said, Caleb isn't fully aware of Ava-Rain's history, so he has absolutely no clue as to how this truth will impact Ava-Rain. She's been rejected by the one person that was supposed to love her, and now this truth will only reinforce her beliefs that she doesn't deserve love. That she's second best or not good enough at all, like you stated.
i love that you said that deep down he doesn't think that he deserves her because you're right. From the moment they met, he knew he didn't deserve her & now we sort of have a better understanding as to why he felt that way.
They both need to let each other in. Up until this point, they've both had a few walls up to keep the other out of certain aspects of themselves that they didn't want to reveal to the other. But that's not going to continue to work for the two of them. They are each other's completion & they can't become whole until they're willing to give in to each other completely. Caleb can't become the alpha he was meant to become without allowing Ava-Rain in fully, & she can't become the 'powerful' person she was meant to become without believing in her strength & accepting that it's there deep inside of her first.
I told you these two stress me out way too much, lol.

I knew that this chapter was coming and I dreaded it. Omg Declan I find it so amiable that he protected Ava-Rain like that, Reckon is going to be crushed shame. New theory, I still believe that the pure bloods were using Jannifer to get info on Celebs pack but know I think it was to also get to Ava-Rain the is something about her that I don't think she even knows about herself that may have ties to her parents death and could also be one of the reasons her grandma treats her so bad. Jannifer you just fed your bestfriend to the wolves literally they better have threatened her whole family for this betrayal to be forgiven mxm. Loved it can't wait for more.

Even if Declan knew that there was no way he would survive against a pure blood, protecting Ava-Rain was the only thing that mattered to him. Rickon is definitely going to be crushed, that's for sure!
Love your new theory! I think you're the only reader that believe that Jennifer may have been used by the pure bloods & I love that! Things aren't always as they seem in my stories, so Jennifer may not be as horrible as she 'seems'. And there is definitely a reason why the pure bloods wanted to draw Ava-Rain out—something that may have a lot to do with her parents & her grandmother's poor treatment of her—so you may be on to something with your theory!!
It will definitely take a lot for Jennifer's betrayal to be forgiven! And I promise, she has a eason for doing what she did.

I avoided reading this update for two days because I knew what was going to happen. I then tried to read it but could get past the first paragraph. I finally forced myself to read the chapter and my eyes were starting to water the moment Declan showed up at the door. And when she convinced him to o to the park I was screaming please go back to the car and I was cursing ava rain and the bitch that needs to die names. I am glad I know Declan is going to be okay. And I hope you have Caleb rip into ava rain more harshly than you did last time. Ava rain gets no sympathy for me none. I couldn't even enjoy their romantic moment because all I could think about was ava rains upcoming stupidity. Jennifer better die he'll I'll even help anglie kill her if you let me. Stupid ava rain and her stupid sense of loyalty to that undeserving bitch. I'm just thinking that Ava-Rain's actions may have also exposed the pack...didn't Caleb say they weren't supposed to know he even existed? One reason Kane told Caleb not to claim his mate was the possibility of them being exposed (correct me if I am wrong)...maybe if Ava-Rain was more in the loop she would have acted differently, but Caleb did clearly ask her to stay away from Jennifer until they had more information.
Clearly Ava-Rain is clueless to understand how her actions could harm the pack...it's like now the pure-bloods have confirmation of their existence...if I am wrong, please let me know...but if I am right, then Caleb will definitely have a hard time forgiving her because she gave no consideration to what was really at stake...Ava-Rain was betrayed by Jennifer but in return Ava-Rain actually unintentionally betrayed Caleb and the pack...bummer...I don't know how their relationship will be repaired now but you are brilliant so you can do it...can't wait to see how...

You are totally & completely, 100% correct! Ava-Rain's careless actions have just exposed the pack to the pure bloods, which was the ONE THING that Caleb & his pack could not afford to happen, but her actions ALSO exposed herself. The pure bloods now know about the pack but it's too early to tell if they know anything specifically about Caleb. They didn't want him, they didn't want Declan, whom was pretty much just collateral damage, they wanted Ava-Rain & she realized that. And there's a HUGE reason why they went to such lengths to draw Ava-Rain out specifically, so keep that in mind!
Totally agree with you about Ava-Rain not being in the loop, because as much as Caleb is trying to protect her & keep her safe by not sharing everything with her, she isn't fully able to understand the severity of the issues that Caleb & the pack have been facing. He's explained to her the who, what, where, when & why's of his world, he's especially emphasized the WHYs—why his existence can't be brought to light, why his pack can't be exposed, why he was reluctant to even claim her as his mate—but she's only able to understand it on a 'human' level, if that makes sense, which I'm sure it doesn't, lol. She hasn't really been exposed to the dark, cold & cruel realities of his world until now & I'm positive that NOW she'll finally get it. It just sucks because she had to, like you stated, unintentionally betray Caleb & the pack in order to come to that realization.
This will definitely put a strain on their relationship & Caleb will definitely be pissed at her but this situation will force him to take a good look at himself & accept that he's not entirely blameless.
*sighs* These two stress me out far too much, but I can't help but love them.

I know this is all new to her and Caleb with the cryptic, or, no info at all, has her at a serious disadvantage at times, but I'm gonna need Ava-Rain to think a little more soberly than this. Best friend working for the enemy, being sequestered in her homeand a guard should have told her it was probably best to be still, no matter what she was feeling. She leads with her heart, but she's gonna have to temper that now.
Plus, don't get me started on how this all went for my baby, Declan! Mad at her for that alone!

I think I just might have to bow down to you in worship, thincakes, because you've just proved that not only can you give LIFE but you can also take life away because I'm DEAD!!
You totally have the right to be mad at Ava-Rain & she very well may end up deserving that ass whooping if our poor Declan dies! She was far too trusting, that's for sure. But, as far as she knew, Caleb & the pack only ‘suspected' that Jennifer MIGHT be helping the pure bloods. And for her, until there was actual proof, she couldn't fully accept nor believe that Jennifer would betray her. Unfortunately, that proof was delivered in the form of two pure bloods, one mauling Declan to death and the other probably about to do the same to her.
If what just went down in this chapter wasn't a wake up call for her, then I don't know what is. Like you said, she's an Alpha Female—or a soon-to-be Alpha Female, decision may still be pending depending on Caleb's reaction, lol—& she didn't give us a reason to believe that she's deserving of that title. Agreed that this wasn't her call to make at all! She really messed up big time.

Hey Gurl! I would rank this story as #1 among my favorites if I could. I reread the chapters several times just to keep my fix going! This story is Da-Bomb! You just rock!!!
Ava-Rain has me so mad that I had to calm down and review again. Declan told her she was too trusting and now she understands the truth to that statement. Unfortunately, the truth comes with the harm her trusting Jennifer has brought to Declan. If Ava-Rain thought she only needed to look in Jennifer's eyes to know the truth, why didn't they plan to meet in a more public place that was safe? She placed her relationship with Jennifer over her own safety, the safety of her pack and even her mate. She just learned a difficult lesson but the cost was too high. Though she has been friends with Jennifer a long time, that does not excuse her not taking the precautions to better protect herself and Declan. I don't even understand the reason for doing something so stupid. Caleb is going to be so mad at her but I am sure anything he says will not compare to the internal beating Ava-Rain will give herself over what happened to Declan. She is horrified that her actions have cost so much but I don't think she'll make this mistake again. I can't wait for the next update! Brilliant!

LOL @ you having to review again! Dang, Ava-Rain really pissed you off, didn't she? Well, you're completely justified in your anger. I'm actually sooo extremely happy that she made you mad! I always battled with this chapter because I wasn't sure how readers would feel about it. I wanted to show a side of Ava-Rain that hasn't really been revealed before. A selfish, stupid & naive side of her that would further reveal her imperfections, but I just didn't want it to come off as 'out of character' because she's always been the type of character that was capable of doing what she did in this chapter.
As for her reasons for doing something so stupid, she's still holding onto this belief that she can maintain a balance between these two worlds-refusing to accept that the Jennifer from 'her world' may not be the same Jennifer in this 'new world'-but this chapter proved that she obviously can't & that she was naive to think that she could. And, like you said, she just learned a difficult lesson that may have ended up costing her Declan's life & she has to live with that.
Caleb is going to flip, I guarantee that! And these events might very well trigger past emotions that may make it extremely difficult for him to forgive her. Our girl truly did make a mess of things.

I'm liking tough, smart Ava-Rain. I'm glad she didn't retreat into herself and have a pity party for one about Jennifer.
What chapter did you stop at when you pulled it before? Trying not to rehash what I've already reviewed from before too much.

I love this book! Ava-Rain has chosen and her heart is with Caleb...her strength is with Caleb...watching them grow together is a beautiful journey...excellent work

I am proud of Cakeb for telling Ava-Rain about Jennifer. Kasey and Lucas are a hotness, love thise two siblings. Jennifer responded to her text, I wondet what she wanys to talk to het Bout? Don't trust that heifer AR she ain't really your friend. Has AR's granny been introduced to karma yet? Aleb -Rain one of my favorite couples! !

I'm proud of him, too! He may not always share with her what we want him to share with her, but this Jennifer situation definitely needed to be brought to Ava-Rain's attention.
I love writing for Kasey & Lukas, so I'm so glad that you like them! The whole Helland family is going to be important, that's for sure.
As for Jennifer, next chapter will definitely confirm whether or not Jennifer can be trusted or not. As for granny, LOL, she hasn't been struck by karma YET, but I'm sure it will happen at some point.

Wow. So she is working with the purebloods. That is just horrible. I wonder why? Maybe she comes from a family of hunters. And they are working together to get that pack back under control or something. They wouldn't dare mate with her so it can't be that. She has to be a hunter. Or her family is. That is the only thing that makes sense. Yeah, horrible timing Kasey!!

Love your theory about Jennifer maybe coming from a family of hunters! That would definitely making things interesting. As for her working with the purebloods, there may be a lot more to Jennifer's involvement with them than we know & she may not be as horrible as she's been perceived thus far. . .or maybe she totally is, lol.

Yes, I knew it. I did a little victory dance when I read that lol. I feel sorry for Ava-Rain it seems like she will never catch a break at least she has got Kasey who I am confident in saying that she will never stab Ava-Rain in the back. I am also glad that Ava-Rain was able to put aside her insecurities and realise she is the only one for Caleb. Loved the update and I can't wait for more oh and by the way thanks for the shout out.😀😁

Jennifer is a horrible who puts her own happiness above all others. Interesting Ava-Rain apologized, Caleb step up behonest with your mate. Don't tell Kasey anything Ava-Rain. I love this story!!

Lol, Jennifer's in her own category of horrible. But I promise, she's not COMPLETELY horrible, despite her actions that may prove otherwise.
As for Ava-Rain's apology, she was sooo not wrong for how she reacted, but I think she felt guilty for going back on her promise to allow him to tell her things in his own time. If anything, she deserved an apology from Caleb for unfairly coercing the truth out of her. But getting him to say 'I'm sorry' is like pulling teeth, especially when he believes he did nothing wrong, which he totally did! But, all's fair in love & war, right?
