i'm glad she didn't stay with that STANKY law firm. Now she can "unconfirmed" at the other place and make partner in five years. Blast Gabe and every idiot like him everywhere!

I read more chapters than this one but there is nothing that I like about gabriel what if they get together and have kids and she puts on weight? hes going to go back to seing her as she was before I am sorry i cant continue reading i disagree with the pairing way too much

Humphrey lives with a sense of entitlement, he needs to be brought down a peg or two or wipe out altogether. Gabriel needs to let go. I'm glad Adele turn down the job, why work someplace where you are uncomfortable. Plus dating someone your work with or for is a no no in my book, people might say she got her promotion laying on her back. They need time apart.

I knew that she was playing with Gabriel!  I hope that this new position is more money but with greater respect.

Yessss!  You go Adele!  I am glad that she has enough self respect to leave the firm instead of taking the associate position.  Gabriel is clearly 100% clueless as he didn't acknowledge when Humphrey's called him on his change of heart about Adele coinciding with her change in appearance.  Gabriel also failed to acknowledge the truth of Adele's words that she is not wanted at their firm.  Humphrey's attitude clearly shows that truth as in spite of Adele finishing second, he claims basically that she was a token who was lucky to get the position while failing to acknowledge she got the position on merit.  The blindness Gabriel shows to these facts makes him quite unsuitable for Adele.  He has no clue of the world in which she really lives.  Good job!  I hope to see growth for both Adele and Gabriel.  Right now I'm team Max as Gabriel still has no clue why Adele and Max are friends.  Maybe he'll learn.  I'm just glad that Adele chose to be true to herself.  If she's really worth it, Gabriel will want the real Adele and all that comes with knowing her.

Ok I love it but I need longer chapters

I'm intrigued. Like the pace of this story and the characters so far. It's definitely pulled me in!!

SHE SHOULD STILL IGNORE HIM. SHE GAVE IN TOO EASILY TBH SHE SHOULD REALLY RESIST A BIT MORE HE HASN'T LEARNED HIS LESSON OR CHANGED HIS VIEWS. THIS IS A GOOS STORY I JUST DONT WANT IT TO BECOME ONE OF THOSE THINGS WHERE SHE LETS GO OF HER VIEWS AND MORAL TO FIT HIS. BUT I MEAN YOU'RE THE WRITER :) GOOD CHAPTER

I'm really interested in Adele's next move at this point.  I had to delete my previous review and still give it some more thought after reading this story.  Will Adele be moved by his sweetly spoken words, begging when he really has taken the time to think about how his words from before affected her.  How will she analyze the meeting when he kinda kicked her to the curb for his position and now how she will be humiliated in a meeting with clients because she was purposefully not given all of the information.  There are so many other nuances than him liking her and her liking him.  It is also about how he views her as an exception vs the norm.  He had no problem downgrading he when he wasn't attracted to her and that is a problem.  Honestly, anything Gabe says or do will be looked at with a side eye if I was Adele.  You claim one thing but do another repeatedly.  I would also not stay in an environment and waste my talents and hardwork somewhere that will never give me the recognition I rightly deserve.  Why put myself thru that stress?  I would finish out my training and take my expertise to the competition and shine.  The best way to make these individuals take notice is to hit their pocketbooks.

How did I miss this gem?  

My two-cent worth:  Gabe needs to get a conscience and maybe Max can help him with this.

Adele now knows there is chemistry, but needs to make him work for it.  No making out at the job bc then she will think she is the token putting out as expected to make it.  

Gabe really does seem to have a sense of entitlement and I think that is all he knows.  He doesn't even have a sense of protection toward her, bc he didn't even protect her from that meeting.  Gabe neds to pay, and then maybe we can see him as salvageable.

Adele is a better person than me, bc I would have blackmailed their azzes and Zoe would have been my main witness.  Perhaps Gabe can start a diversity program for the company--that would be a hoot.
