What a wonderful story, you held my attention from beginnig to end. I so glad that Carla and her family got what was coming to them, too confident for their own good. The Rocky angle was something that I just didn't see coming, he seem like such a genuine friend to both Collista and Aiden, but as they say looks can be deceiving.

Reese girlie..this is a masterpiece...
Such an intelligent, make you think, sexy, exciting and emotional story!!
The evolution of the Aiden and Colista's relationship from stuudent teacher infatuation to a full on adult grown up affair was beautiful to witness.
We loved the sexiness, the craziness, fun and emotional roller coaster these two took us on and it made us love them all the more.
The twist and turns in this story were so thrilling , youcould not help but cheer the good guys on and want ti rip teh hair out of the heads of the bad guys,
I am so glad Aiden was vindicated and his father revenged.
I hope we get to see hear more from these two...they are meeting the parents and their relationship has to come out of the closet,,,rotfl!

First of all so sad to see the end of this story but what an ending you have provided. It was full of action and intrigue. I am happy that they got the painting and theives in the mist of the heist. I am happy that Mr. Nemeth was will to provide any and all help to clear Aidan and it looks like helping him and Collista share some quality time. And Rocco was so OUT OF THE BLUE. My mouth dropped open and I was riveted. SO SO much in this chapter. As always awesome job on a great story.

Grinning like a fiend here. lol I'm soooo happy that you were suprised by the little twist. Yeah, Rocky/Rocco was such a good friend to Collista, but it was only a ploy. As the saying goes, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Rocco obviously agreed with that. lol
And yeah, Collista and Aidan are still together...at present. So it's a happy ending.

Yes, Aidan's connection and love for his Dad remained unchanged even though choice to be a criminal albeit an elite one caused Aidan nothing but trouble. As for Andre (Aidan's father), there's more to his story than what has been revealed.

Hey Wwefan. I was just informing another poster that I am seriously considering doing a sequel. Aidan and Collista are two of my favorite characters. I feel there is more story with them. I do however currently have a full plate of stories on the roster. But yeah, I'm game.
I will have to look this actor up. I think I've heard the name before. I just can't place the face. I'll definitely see what I can do though if he fits a character that would be good for the story. I don't have an ending yet and I don't write until I have some idea of a beginning (which I have), a middle (it keeps me on track) and last but definitely not least, an ending.
Again, that's so much for your support for all of my stories actually (lol) as well as this one. It's appreciated.

Say it aint so, "sniff", "sniff". My story is at an end. Can't believe its over. Glad the culprits were caught in the end and received their just desserts. Now I guess Colli and Aidan can focus on themselves. I absolutely loved reading this story. Hmmm, wonder if we'll see more about Colli and Aidan in the future???? Thanks for sharing a great story.

I know. I know. I always suffer a duality of emotions when I finish a story: gladness for being able to provide my readers with a finished product that they can enjoy agaiin and again if they want to, a sense of accomplishment as well as one of loss. I'm crazy that way. lol
That said, I won't be coy anymore. I have at least two stories that I have to do. One is "Her Dirty Little Secret" which is a follow up to "The Heart of the Matter." I'm really behind on that one, but I've started writing it tonight. It's not a long one. And I announced on the Chamber Forum an original story that has piqued some interest. It will be longer than HDDLS. Plus, I have a Shawn and Angela story going right now. I will be finishing that up in hopefully another 6 or 7 chapters.
So yeah, I am contemplating a sequel to TAOTS. It will be entitled Subterfuge.

Had a lot of loose end to tie up, but that's the norm with story endings. The painting is safe, Aidan is totally in the clear and yes, he and Collista are still together at the end.
Married with babies, Wwefan? lol I hope that for them too. But not just yet. They may have more adventures ahead of them. Who really knows?

Wow, now that was a great twist Reese!! I'm glad that Aidan wasn't going to be sitting in jail for stealing the painting. I'm liking Tobias Neweth. He's a take charge of a man and he reminds me of someone I use to love not too long ago. I'm glad Tobias and Aidan are working together to stop the bad guys. Glad that Aidan is out of jail but that detective has something wrong about her. Carla is going to ruin Aiden one way or another but something tells me that he is prepared for whatever tricks she may try to pull. I think more people are involved in the theft than just ho bag Carla and the fake Count. I wouldnt be surprised if Aiden proposed to Collista before their relationship gets out into the open.

Another reader who doesn't think Det. Maxwell is on the up and up. She did seem a little anxious to help Collista, didn't she? Hmmmm. Yeah, old Carla has Aidan caught in the cross hairs no matter what he does. Jail for stealing the painting or losing his profession and job is his relationship with Collista becomes known. Wow.
