Aww, thank you for taking the time to respond to my review. I honestly didn't think you were still active on the site and figured it was just a shot in the dark.

 

I'm a writer too so I understand how life can get in the way of your ability to make time to be creative. If you need a beta, I would totally love to be a help you with any edits or ideas you might have. That's just how much I love this story.

 

Also wanted to add that I went searching to find out whether you were published so I could purchase the book and I stumbled upon your post on another site mentioning that the story had been plagiarized. This is a writer's biggest nightmare so I understand if that might have knocked some wind out of your sail.

 

So, if you are skeptical about sharing your work to some random person offering to beta, I get it. I can show you some of my writing if that makes you more comfortable. All I ask is that you please don't give up on this story. It is truly a gem!

Aww, you are so sweet. Thank you for showing your appreciation for my work. I haven't forgotten about this story either. In fact, I am currently finishing up another original story and doing rewrites for Crossing the Finish Line. If all goes according to plan, I will submit both stories for publication on Amazon this year.

Sl, this makes me wonder if Charlie and Mia are really sisters, stemming from the conversation they had at the diner about the necklace. 

It seems that grandma knows more than she is letting on; hoping that in time they will figure it all out. Where are Charlie 's other grand parents.

Wonderful story. I hope you'll finish the wonder craftsmanship that your writing to complete this story.

Glad to see this update; this story is one of my faves!
Someone else may have come up with earlier, but could Mia be a half-sister to both Charlie and Ryan, through Vivian and Mark, respectively?? I re-read the chapter with the interaction between Mark Quinn and Mia at the restaurant's back door and their conversation could be that of an absentee father & adult daughter, not necessarily lovers. Just a thought . . .
Following the disastrous dinner, I love the way Charlie was standing by her man ;-) She seemed like she'd go toe-to-toe with ole Daddy Quinn, if necessary.
Finally, Wes and Christy . . . SMH . . . I saw it coming but still . . . SMH.

Your story is soooo great! And your writing too!I love yours characters, they're so realistic..

It seems now that Ryan's dad has a lot of secrets, the secret family, his history with Charlie's dad and mom.

Hope to see Charlie's dad appearence!

I am soooo ready for the family dinners, can't wait.  The characters are very relatable as they are young and attempting to walk a path few have travelled.  Would love to see Ryan's reaction if Mom doesn't approve vs Dad.  We all know how he feels about Dad's opinion right now.

Oh boy I'm glad that Charlie decided to tell Ryan the truth--I was really worried for a moment & the fact that grandma already knows that something is going on is even better...I really like the subplots a great deal--I think they give both Ryan & Charlie more depth...Wes having feelings for someone who is hung up on an ex has me puzzled---do we know this girl? Is it possibly Mia?  Plus, I'm not liking Keisha's behavior toward Eric...this guy really likes her & she is using him to get close to James who gives two craps about her--she didn't seem that shallow initially...I hope she wakes up before its too late...thanks for letting Ryan finally hear Charlie sing.

Best bw/wm fanfiction I've ever stumbled upon online. I really want you to keep going! I wish Charlie had told Ryan about the conversation between Mia and Mr. Quinn and I really like the sub-plots, keeps things interesting. I want more! 4.3/5

This is my first time reviewing but I love this story & I'm glad for the update....I think Charlie should tell Ryan what's going on & they decide together what to do b/c they promised each other no secrets but please don't let her break-up with him---that has become so predictable in stories these days--let their bond become stronger & have them fight this together....they also need to at least speak to Charlie's grandmother b/c I think that she may be in their corner....I'm glad Charlie is thinking about a future with Ryan---she needs to do what makes her happy & not worry about other people think, including her dad...is Charlie ever going to sing again? I really want her to pursue that & seriously think about going to Cali with Ryan...I'm also curious about their fathers---I think Ryan's father was involved with Charlie's mom before she got with Charlie's dad.
