I like the pic u chose for Jared's love interest Lucinda, I wonder what Valerie will have to say when Jared bring her home to meet the family. Well she treat her the way that she treats Inga or differently because it is Jared that has an interest in her.

Seriously, what is Valerie's problem. She is kind of annoying. I think that she is jealous because Charlie seems to be very in to Inga, and she feels as if she is loosing his son. I kind of understand her but at the same time I think that she needs to back off a little. Charlie is a grown man. And even if he gets hurt, that is something she can't do anything about it. I can understand that for a mother its difficult when your kids find a partner and stuff. But its life. Just like she fell in love with Charlie's father, got married and have kids. Its also something that Charlie wants and also has a right to do.

I just didn't quite picture him when looking at Charlie, but anywho, it's all good, I love him anyway as well as Inga. Jared is a cutie and so is Lucinda. I love the development between both couples. Yeah, and he's dead too! LOL However, he wasn't born old and he was quite a hunk in his younger years. I watched the movie The Naked Jungle which is where I got the idea for the virgin challenge. Yes, the pix of Lucinda is cute and in the story she is plain (but not ugly) and I couldn't find one to match what was in my head. So it is what it is.
I love watching old movies and seeing old guys when they were all young and hot. LOL

And whats wrong with my casting? Young Charlton Heston was my inspiration in wriiting this story. As for the others, it's hard to match people with what's in your head, but I do the best I can. Most are pretty close to what I envisioned. (Except Lucinda, but hey, you can't always find what you see in your head) LOL

Lu was in the wrong to come at Crissy in any way but, when it all boils down to it, she wasn't thinking clearly because she couldn't see past her jealousy. The fact that this is his ex just got to the girl. She was wrong, but I can forgiver her for being human.

I hope Valerie keeps her word and gives Inga a chance, because her attitude is going to drive a huge rift between her and Charlie if she doesn't get over herself...she keeps claiming that she doesn't want him to get hurt, but I have a hard time believing that's all there is to her attitude...
Can't wait until Jared is able to truly convince Lu that he is for real and wants her just for her. I know she's been hurt & used in the past, but I'd love her to find satisfaction & happiness with Jared and leave the past behind her.

I dont understand Valerie. Is she going to act like this with the twins? Does she act like this with Jared? People lose their virginity and go on with their lives. It happens daily; so why is what Charlie doing so upsetting to her? It's kinda weird now.

Valerie is worried because she knows that Inga is the one for Charlie. Peterson men are very obsessive and she's afraid that he's going to get hurt. It's not so much about his virginity. It's more about his single minded focus on Inga. As for jared, he was never serious about any of the women he had been with before, so that Peterson obsession thing hadn't kicked in with him. Ah, but now there's Lucinda so Val is going to have to deal with that also.
As a mother I can say that when you've been close to your sons as Val and Charlie have been to each other, the mother has to make a concious effort to stand down once he's chosen a woman. I can say that it is NOT always easy because that is YOUR child and now here comes this woman changing everything. But if you love your child and want to see him happy, you do stand down, step back and pray for the best. You cannot keep them from being hurt and the woman has a control on them that you never had. Val may seem a little weird to some, but unless you've been a mother and in that position it's hard to explain.
My son is married and I like his wife, but his relationship with her changed our relationship dramatically. Our conversations are few and our time together with just the two of us is now nonexistent, but I'm alright with that. Girls still tend to have close relationships with their mothers even after marriage, but it is not that way with sons a lot of times. Life is an ever changing thing and you move on. However, I can understand the difficulty Val is dealing with. She has given her word to Charlie and she will keep it.

Well damn! Is it hot where you are Brenda? Because it's dang hot over here after reading this latest update. I almost felt like calling the church's usher board to come over and fan me (LOL).
As always, I love reading the reviews just as much as the story so when you mentioned that Inga might be ducking Charlie...all I can say is, Run Forest, RUN!
What truly amazes me about your writing style is the transformation that occurs with your secondary characters. We may start off disliking them, but at some point, you make us fall for them just as much as with the main characters.
