I love this story. It reminds me of scandal characters Olivia and Fitz. When you meet that special someone that you are instantly attracted to and just know what they mean to you. In Scandal Fitz says" why was I such a coward to marry her and not wait for you. " That's how I feel about these characters. I once heard that we pick and choose who to love and how much to love them. In this case its the same but yet different. They know going in with eyes open what they are doing but the attraction that pulls them together is a curse and blessing. It's a curse because he's married and unavailable to commit to her unless he is willing to lose everything he has gained. Its a blessing because they have met each other and know what each other means to each other. He is having doubts because he knows that he can't give her what she deserves (commitment and not being a mistress) unless he walks away from his current relationship and he is not ready to. He thinks she will leave and that scares him.

So Victoria was twenty-three when they meet. If Nick was the mayor then she knew that he was married, so why decided to be the other woman? If Nick knew her father, how could he use his friend's child that way? I would say that she was young and stupid, but she knew that the man was married he was the damn mayor after all!!! Smh!!!

Thank you. That precise answer is in chapter 37, but you will not be satisfied until you read the last chapter which will describe the actual event. Strategy will start in about 10 chapters. All the players need to be introduced first. And they are a lot of people, including the maid and her back story.
I said it in the notes of chapter 1, this is a very long and complex story, as my 1st one, The One, was. We are looking at 100+ chapters. You will keep asking questions, and answers will be provided that raise further questions...

Did you tell us how old Victoria was? If he's 59 and they had their things 13 years ago which means that he was 46. So of course at 46 Nick had to have been married which means that he cheated on Helen. How long were Victoria and Nick having an affair? This story is so juicy and I really want Nick to suffer some karmic justice!! Please!!!

This is bad and it's going to get worse as she still has feelings for nimrod! His wife is evil and those two are in for a rude awakening because I don't believe that Victoria is punk. They just unleashed the beast! She can't attest to his guilt or innocence as she doesn't know him. It has been thirteen years since they were together and he treated her abismally. Don't like Nick can't stand his wife or their attorney! Looking forward to future updates.
