Ooooo this is SO good! I knew Evangeline had to be Kattia's mother but pray-tell, what atrocities has the Grand Duchess bestowed upon her own spawn? Who is Azrael to both women?  I luv Kattia's strong-willed and defiant character, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

It is always a pleasure to read your work, regardless the format or genre...the quality and intelligence never wavers.  Excellent!

Is the main character white or black? Sorry, but I'm confused.

In keeping with The Chamber's de facto mission statement and my own personal preference, Kattia is a woman of color.  She is biracial.  Her father is Black and her mother is half Black.  Her skin is pale (as in drained of its natural tawny color) at the moment for reasons that will become clear as the story progresses.

Mouth is hanging open. What is the what?! What a chapter to break out of your funk! I'm so intrigued and confused but then intrigued again. Lol Your writing is amazing and I have so many question on this. I hope you continue because this was just wow.

Ah! Wonderful! The beginning is so intriguing!!! I can't wait for the next step, there are so many questions I need answers to!! What is Kattia's nature? Are we going to have a glimpse of the couple's past before this heartbreaking clliffhanger? Why is Azrael chasing her? So intersting, I definitely need more. Great job!!

WTF?,  Dude shot her point blank range and for what? Kat and the Az guy obviously aren't human so what are they? Az is a demon because he just feels evil. Glad that you are back with another story Joelle Jax!!
