I read the story and I really enjoyed your writing style and hope you continue writing. I however don't think this is the right site for this particular story. As others have stated this is a safe haven for women of color and I understand you are exploring different pairings and character interaction but considering white women are considered the ideal or default heroine in the western world there are an abundance of places you can post this story from wattpad and wordpress to livejournal and to choose valentchamber to post ww/bm does as a another reviewer said feel like a slap in the face. I do wish you luck however.

Thank you for reading HIS WINTER WONDERLAND and the list of other site locations. I posted on this particular sight because it is my home as well. I asked the readers of THE CHAMBER for their feedback which was crucial to me determining whether or not to write such a series and how best to write it.
After a more thorough critiquing, I realize that the genre WWBM is too serious of a category to cloud the subjects I want to talk about with sex. I have decided not to distract from the stories which will cover a multitude of issues with EROTICA.
I am grateful that THE CHAMBER exists and that I was able to receive very different opinions on this genre. It may appear distasteful, disrespectful and even feel as though you were slapped unexpectedly in the face by an intruder. But, it was not done deliberately or maliciously. Again I state, this is my safe haven as well. This is a place that has allowed me to see that I have a talent as a writer.

I like what you have written. I don't care if the female lead is black, white, Asian or whatever. As long as the story is good I will be a reader.

Thank you. I will be writing another WWBM novella entitled CARGO which will deal with human trafficking. It will explore the different experiences of slavery.

I have to agree with some of the comments below. In this day and age where you have
stupid hashtags like #white girls do it better (despite the fact that they are socitey's
standard of beauty) Valent Chamber is a haven where many women of color can come
and read stories for and about them. We have enough Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus
type white girls that think that every space out there is about them and for them. There
are plenty of romance novels out there with white women as the focus hell half the covers have
them illustrated on them. I've been reading Valent Chamber for almost a year now and this is the
first time I had seen a story like this and to be frank it's a slap in the face for what the site is for.
Yes the man is black but the woman is white as opposed to being a black woman or any other woman of
color. There are probably other sites out there for this story but Valent Chamber isn't one of them.

Yeah, I can't lie. I don't even know what to think about the fact that a story like this was posted on this site, which I thought was supposed to be dedicated to stories featuring women of color. Idk. Well, everybody's entitled to their own opinions and allowed to do what they want to do. But I have to say that I do hope that this won't become a trend, because I enjoy actually being able to read stories about and for women like me. I gave it a try with this first chapter, but I won't be reading anymore. Though I do wish you luck with your stories.

I sincerely and humbly did not intend to offend the readers of THE CHAMBER. The site is a place that I have been coming to for almost a year. THE CHAMBER and its readers have inspired me to write at a frantic pace because of their support and encouragement. I view this site as my home. I have proudly posted its location at the bottom of my website. I have also told all of my friends about THE CHAMBER.
I am also appreciative of the honest opinions I am receiving about this particular story. I was uncertain about this genre (WWBM) and wanted input. I chose this particular pairing, because I wanted to show the complexity of racism in my society from another angle. The beginning chapter represented a looking glass. It was intended to show the uncensored feelings of the main character toward her black employees.
Many times, in my opinion, the perpetrators of racism do not recognize what they are doing or even the impact of their actions. There are however, those who do and will continue to do underhanded things to other people without remorse.
The few objectionable comments that were posted (there may be many, many more that were not) have allowed my to view this genre from another perspective (I was viewing it from a writer's point of view). Thank you. E.G.

Great start. Please continue and who cares! I'm glad you mixed it up a bit. Experience, stereotyping, and lies (hate) is usually what makes a person feel the way they do about other people. Especially with all the crap going on today. Nice start!

Thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate your input. I want to write about a lot of the issues that affect people of color. I also want to mimmic in writing some of the things that I see as well as some of the things that I do not see.
The next book that I am planning to write in THE SCRUB SERIES has a female main character from Africa. She is an albino entering medical school in the United States. She is one of four med students that bring their personal problems to school with them. It is called THE SCRUB IMPACT.
I am also working on CODE SCRUB which is about a black pediatrician with a black love interest. I will, of course, post on THE CHAMBER. Thanks and keep in touch. E.G.

Not too keen on reading a story that stars a white women as the main character ,since thats a majority of stories out there , thought this thread was focused on black women

Thank you for your honest feedback. My intention was never to intrude on or disrespect the purpose of this site. I am a writer who wants to entertain, but while doing so write about the things that I see and how they affect me.
WWBM (white chocolate series) came about as a result of not following the popular trend of BWWM. I am fascinated by the sudden popularity of interracial romance. It wasn' t around when I started writing.
I believe the total body of work that I produce will be representative of my commitent to telling the many stories of many people. I have A Concrete Romance series which is strickly BWBM. I posted two novellas on this site: BLACK FEVER & A BLACK CHRISTMAS. I also have a medical line: THE SCRUB SERIES and the URBAN GIRL SERIES. I never read wwbm stories because ww are the star of way more fictions/ebooks and this particular pairing is the go-to for many sub pairings in stories (ie brother of bw marries ww or ww friend marries bm). Needless to say, it doesn't interest me as a reader or as a bw. I'd really love to see more fics pairing BwBm couples those are a great rarity. It's also a thread for women of color and it's sort of a safe space where we are the ideal beauty and it's my personal escape from the redundant "gorgeous whit giel trope". Anywho, good luck with your new endeavors and it'll be interesting for your readers to see how your character over comes her willful racism. I wish you all the best and I'm excited for your future work!
