Yes, I'm still planning on doing "Her Dirty Little Secret". In fact, I'm now finally or once again writing or re-writing the first chapter. I wasn't satisfied with it and then I had major computer problems. So much so that Dell had to finally swap it out. So now, I'm actually able to write.
I'm behind on a lot of stories promised though, but my mind is actually back perculating on HDLS to the exclusion of other stories, so since that's the one my muse has picked, so shall it be. LOL
Thanks for your patience, and I'll try to rush this along as I too miss these characters and really have a rather good story in store for them...I think.

You know....I still LOVE this story!!! I have read and re-read it several times. I think Alexx and Ryan make a WONDERFUL couple.

I'm so sorry for not responding quicker. I've been finishing up two of my original stories which are much longer works. It's been quite an endeavor. I am actually going to be starting the new story this week. Not sure how soon I can get the first chapter up, but I'm definitely going to be working on it. I'm finishing up editing for TAOTS so I can get that up tomorrow.
Thanks so much for your continued interest. I haven't abandoned Alexx and Ryan. I love them, too, and they are just so darned hot together. :-)

I'm so sorry for not responding quicker. I came back to my old stories occasionally to try to find errors in my editing. And wouldn't you know it, there are always some to be found.
In answer to your question, I am indeed going to write this story starting this week. I was finishing up two other original stories. I haven't forgotten about Alexx and Ryan. I'm hoping to make this story even hotter and more angsty than the former.

A great ending, Reese!
I think there was more to Alexx bringing Preston to the event the more I think about it. She knew it was a bad idea, and yet she did it. I think because she was so afraid of a relationship with Ryan she threw up another road block to make sure it wouldn't happen.
As much as I love that Alexx and Ryan got together in the end, I hope Ryan does a lot more growing up. Alexx has children and they need a father-figure to look up to, not someome who will reinforce all the bad qualities kids tend to have.
Horatio came to the resuce and set things right as he always does in his silent way. I love him.

You really caught Alexx out on that one. She was definitely trying her best to keep Ryan at arms length. As you do, I believe she knew subconsciously that was a bad idea, but she did it anyway. And yeah, Ryan isn't totally where he needs to be in terms of maturity.
He's going to grow in the sequel. I think it's Alexx who might have us all tearing our hair out. lol I adore H.

Yes, the story isn't quite over with respect to Alexx's fears concerning the gap in their ages as well as his possible lack of maturity on some levels. She is the one to watch but then so is Ryan as he deals with Alexx's concerns, both real and imagined.
I adore H and so he's always going to have some small part in these Rylexx stories. After all, Ryan sort of patterns himself after H and they are very close. It'd be weird to me without him.

Ryan was being very childish with Natalia, but he is hwat he is and he has a lot of growing up to do, so I can't hold it against him too much. Alexx knows who Ryan is (a bit immature and hot-headed) so if she wants to be in any kind of relationship with him, it's best she see the ugly side of him now, I suppose.
I'm happy Preston worked it out with Cristina and he admited his actions were out of fear. It rounds out his character and makes him seem less like a cocky ass amd more like a man with a few insecurities.
It was a bad move on Alexx's part to bring Preston to the event. Knowing Ryan would be at the event and knowing him as well as she does, she should've pulled him aside or something. Alexx has got to take some responsibility for the way things went down, in my opinion. I'm glad she didn't get into it with Natalia because she is too grown and sexy for that mess.

LOL. I love how you just cut Ryan down to his essence. But yet are very fair in your opinions. He absolutely had every right to be upset with Alexx's behavior. And yes, she has to learn to deal with what is. He is hotheaded, impulsive, selfish and immature in some ways. But he does have good qualities and those are the things that have bound these two together as friends.
I'm happy with what how Preston turned out in the story as well. He really was sort of an enigma that popped up out of nowhere. But I think he and Alexx went on a journey of self-discovery both separate and jointly. Preston helped Alexx by forcing her to deal with her feelings about Ryan. She couldn't very well bury her head in the sand any longer with Preston sniffing around and putting Ryan down.
Alexx on the other hand definitely made Preston think about what he was doing and got him to exploring his motives for his actions beyond the obvious. Their friendship worked in the end.
Ditto on Alexx allowing Preston to persuade her into taking him to the County's event. What was she thinking? That hotheaded and jealous Ryan really was going to take that slight with equanimity? I think she was unconsciously using Preston as a "cock" (pardon my french) block but got a taste of her own medicine when Ryan hooked up with Natalia. She served to put things into perspective for Alexx. She had to admit to H that she was wrong. It would have been hypocritical of her to stay mad at Ryan when she was just as guilty of basically the same thing.
I catagorically was not going to have Alexx fighting over Ryan with Natalia. She is most certainly too classy and grown up to engage in that kind of behavior.

Great minds think alike...I knew there would be a sequel. Yippee!!! But let me tell you, the title is scaring me a little. Ryan has been in love with her for four years and with his temper, I can't imagine how long he'll want to be her dirty little secret....Alexx, please don't do this.

And just how did you know there would be a sequel, missy? lol Well, I guess "great" minds do think alike. Yes, Alexx apparently still has some problems to face. It will be interesting seeing which one behaves as the mature one in this story.
I think in HOTM they both had some work to do along those lines. I also don't see Ryan putting up with being a sideline guy for long, so we'll see how they, as the sexual explosive couple that they are, resolve this one.

Beautiful! Ryan really is a doomsday sort of guy. I'm glad both he and Alexx laid all their cards on the table. The road ahead isn't going to be easy. Why do I imagine Ryan is going to want to tell everyone, yet Alexx will want to keep it on the DL? At least Horatio and Janie will be happy for them.

LMAO! You're comments are killing me. It's interesting to me to see Alexx being called out. I love it. I know Ryan is a screw up, so it's easy to point out his flaws as they are so obvious. Still, Alexx is human, too, and has shown it in her behavior.

Alexx is a pain in the ass. MY goodness, for a minuted there I thought I was going to have to write myself in the story to drop kick her ass to the curb. She needs to get over herself already. Thanks for coming back to finish this story. I love Alexx and Ryan together. I would love to see how they get along over the next several months together, but you can't have everything. I will just use my imagination.
Their relationship will not be easy for either one. Her kids will have to adjust to Ryan as a stepfather, though they love him already as a close family friend. It shouldn't be too much of a leap. And Janie adores him. But their colleagues at work will be the biggest problem because of color, age, and status differences, particularly people like Calleigh and Eric, but friends like Horatio will make all the difference and of course, their deep love for each other.

I always had intentions to finish the story although I'm aware that it seemed a bit dicey for a while. lol Rylexx's road will indeed not be easy. Neither are the 'easy' type, Alexx has kids who will have their own individual opinions about their mother and another man, albeit a well-liked family friend.
Racism, ageism and social hierarchy will definitely impact them. As for the CSI team, that might be their biggest obstacle. But since Rylexx is meant to be as Ryan asserted, they can overcome all of it if they work together.
