Wow!! I found this story, started reading, and didn't stop until the end of chapter five. What a great story.

From the beginning, Abe's baby was a miracle, left behind by his beloved wife so that he wouldn't be alone. What a sad, sad life it was too. Salomi has such spirit, smarts, and sass. Sometimes a little too much. Abe is simple and naive in his unsophistication. I fear that it will be his undoing. What a way to make a better living for yourself and your daughter.

This story has a smooth, easy flow in telling the tale of lives lived in such a simple depressing time.

I'm hooked. I don't know where your storytelling is taking us, but I'll be alone for the ride.
