There is nothing else in this moment but the beauty of the melody cosseting him into a world unlike any he's ever known. The transition is gradual. Colors creep in from the edges of his vision turning his monochrome prison into a realm of diluted colors. The strains of piano chords ascend and descend skimming effortlessly over complex intervals with dexterity.

It is wondrous. Tints of violets, reds and greens wash over the gray coolness of his vision, giving him the ability to see color. Three months now she's been able to do this. Gift Cyvian with the impossible.

In the ongoing war between Bloodletters and Werekins, demon mercenary Cyvian's allegiance is no one but himself. Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Very good read and I love the way you tell a story.

 

Kei is a very intriguing man to say the least... definitely sexy.  Why am I picturing a midnight haired Sesshoumaru??  (I guess you'd have to know Inuyasha).

 

But I really like Eva too. 

 

Reading your story, I can't tell if it's supposed to be part supernatural or not!  lol, and I guess that's a good thing.

Thank you so much.  It really is a work in progress and I've even changed some of the chapters that I've already posted.  My biggest concerns are in the characters and in the plot.  Kei is actually an amalgamation of several of my favourite metal musicians, including Michael Romeo of Symphony X, Sugizo of Luna Sea/X-Japan, Chachamaru of GacktJob, and John Petrucci of Dream Theatre, amongst others.

Eva is awesome, but I must confess that Kat and Dragon have grown on me a whole lot, LOL.

Sooo confused on some of the comments.

 

A 'normal' or 'real' black woman has to be a size 14 or larger?  So the rest of us are what?  Psuedo black women? 

 

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the chapter even though it's only the first.  And I'm sure I'll enjoy your leading lady, no matter what size she is.  Her hair looks gorg in that banner, btw.

No need for a personal email, because I refuse to respond anymore following this post.

 

And my dear Voices I'm so sorry that someone's personal idea of what's a 'real women' to them has to be brought up in your story.  But prehaps it needs to be addressed.

Just because we now live in a society were our waist lines have expanded because of our food choices, sedentary lifestyles, etc, and it appears to be the NORM now because there are more people with those characteristics doesn't make them more or less 'real' than their counterparts.  (And by that train of thought, 100, 75 or hell, 30 years ago, the bigger person would be the less real)

The exact same can be said for those models, since you want to make that an issue here, who are sizes 0 or 1 or 2, they are no more or no less real women.

 

What you're saying is that Voices - because guess what, this is HER story, HER ideas - should make the leading lady be a size 16 just because you feel the majority of women in this world are big.  If you feel that strongly write your own story with your own big leading lady.

 

My comment was simply pointing that out.  Whether I'm a size 2 or 22, I'm still black and still REAL!   This is a fiction site, where authors submit their own ruminations and imaginitive works and if they want to make the people 2 foot 3'' with pink spiky hair that's their own perogative and you don't have the right to say whether or not it's wrong because you don't feel it fits a certain demographic.

No one is paying you to read and no one is paying them to write.  You can respond more if you wish but you will be ignored.

 

 

And voices you still get a 10 because this chapter was kickass and it made me read Lila's Thunder which for whatever reason I hadn't before.  Another great one.  Love Lila too!!

Title: Chapter 2: “I need to know how the hell you manage to make it down any fashion runway alive."

Oh my god.  I love this.

 

I loooove Yaya! Love her!  She is the perfect Shaun.

And I see this story is gonna have so many layers to it.  The perfectly woven tale. I like that Shaun has flaws and innocence and I hope she doesn't loose herself too much in all of this.  I love the tomboyish side already.

But the way she handles Adam is brillant, though she probably just sees it as her being herself, he sees it as a breath of fresh air.  And the chemistry is definitely there, especially if she didn't notice any of the crazy paparazzi in all that time they were sitting there.

 

I must say I love Celia too.  Rih as Celia?  lol She seems so much more older and mature than Shaun, though.  But I guess that's to be expected since Shaun really didn't live her life as they were growing up because she was uncomfortable in her own skin.

I can't wait until you continue and bring us more of this.

Why does she want to sabotage Shaun's relationship so much.  Let Shaun make her own mistakes and handle Adam the way she wants to.  Celia has issues here.. is it jealousy or something?
