I am 34 years old and an avid soap lover. However, over the years I have been constantly disappointed in the writing and overall representation of Black characters, in particular Black women, on the shows. So this year I decided to feed my soap fetish by writing an alternate universe for the king of daytime soaps, The Young and the Restless. Hence, The Cold and the Righteous was born.
Set during Vengeance. Crixus and Naevia have been reunited. But her wounds yet linger. Chadara has set her eyes on Crixus to secure her place in the rebel camp.
This is an alternate Y&R universe.The Winters, Barbers, and Hamiltons are the core families. The story revolves around them.
