oh burn. he has so much to prove and guinevere has such a strong resolve to make things right...justified... it's like painting a picture...this world you've melded, I am really intrigued. And you write very well.. their interactions are basically what I love and it's really easy to visualize the scenes. Melwas on the other hand just gives me the chills, not the good kind either.

Keep on writing, you are doing Merlin and it's characters great justice

I admire Gwen's courage and determination, but I also hope she steps carefully! Melwas is a true snake-in-the-grass, and has the ear of Peadar. Plus, Peadar is very invested in aligning with Uther.  Dangerous cocktail of circumstances, here. 

The tension is very thick, and I'm enjoying it, though I can literally feel tension in my body as I read this story, as I don't know what will happen next and feel sincere concern for Gwen.  She and Arthur are not yet devoted to each other, so I can't help but be apprehensive for her.  She's in a precarious situation at the moment.  I thought she planned to tell Arthur it was Melwar's soldiers who attacked the camp, but I can respect that she didn't - she knows little of Arthur and his response to her request wasn't exactly encouraging in confiding in him.  Still, I think she was a bit premature in her request, and hasty in her reaction to his hesitation.            

That said, I did love Arthur's response to Melwar's threat.  I think Melwar mistook Arthur's youth for gullibility or weakness, and Arthur had to set him straight!  

Ok girl I seriously need more Gwen and Arthur! Great update! I can't wait for more I hope she doesnt get into trouble for her actions. 

Another beautiful chapter!  Love the combination of myth and legend (except the part of Gwen and Lancelot betraying Arthur)!  I'm hoping this will be an ARWEN love story throughout and preferably NO LANCELOT!  If he has to be around then he'd better find someone else to love; women are aplenty for Lancelot to choose from and he should leave Gwen alone!  Also will hate the idea of Morgana bearing Arthur's child, Mordred.  Original legends said Mordred was Morgause's son by King Lot! 

ARWEN' s first meeting was so awkward yet at the same time sensually tintillating and both youngsters seem to find each other quite agreeable to stare at!  Will Arthur have the courage to court and win Guinevere's heart?  

Nicely done! I'm really enjoying the small, yet persistent unraveling of the characters, especially Gwen and Arthur.  They are too precious, each besotted with the other. 

I particularly enjoyed Gwen's quiet defiance with her token, and Arthur's acceptance. Take THAT, Uther Pendragon! 

Gwen and Arthur meet at last. I really like this story so far. Gwen is such an underused character in Merlin giving her a connection to family from Ethopia is a grwat choice. Also giving us a stronger sense of the period and connecting Uther's war on magic to real people is great as well. I'll certainly be looking fo rmore.

Uther is such a ruthless and cruel tyrant!  Morgana raised a good question!  Who were those other marauders who killed innocent women and children?  

That Melwas is a vile, repugnant, and detestable, filthy ANIMAL!  How dare he show disrespect for the Lady Guinevere!  He should be punished for his offence against a Lady!  

Will ARWEN meet?  How will Arthur feel when he sees Guinevere up close?  

quick question,gwen got magic and why she knows the dragon? How about merlin he knows the dragon too? Pls arwen Moments pls,pls,pls...

Hi, thanks for reading! Gwen doesn't have magic, but I've tried to show that she and her family practiced a pagan, earth-centred spirituality that holds good magic in high esteem (this is why she must hide her participation in the pagan Midusmmer rituals etc). No she hasn't 'met' the dragon but considering he is the last of his kind, and that she's part of a belief tradition that reveres anicent magic, I thought it was safe to assume she would know his name.

I love this. Especially when it has a slight love-at-first-sight Romeo & Juliet feel to this story, it makes it even more intriguing. Love to see what happens next.
