I know a lot of folks are pissed with Allegra, but I just feel Chris ambushed her with his feelings. Yeah she didn't handle it in the most tactful way, but I don't think either one of them were ready for love. She still had to deal with the death of her husband and move on while he had daddy issues and self-worth issues. He came across too desperate for love and acceptance. Sure they became friends but they never truly opened up to each other. He never helped him get over her husband and She never helped him find his backbone and sense of self. That bad break up was exactly what both of them needed.

I agree with you. Chris and Allegra weren't supposed to get together then. They both had issues that they needed to be solved in order to be truly happy together. Now Chris is okay and Allegra is on her way to full recovery. :D

no offence, but this is not a very good story. I find it overly melodramatic for no absolute reason. The characters are to old for the rubbish they are both doing and they do not seem to understand each other.. While I understand stand that this is your story to write pls construt it a little bit better before you put it out there for people to read. Putting out sub par work is one of my pet peeves, i would rather you don't put anything out at all.

I'm glad he is leaving the past behind, now if someone in the future would only let him in. Laurence has to let things take it's course, because he can't force anyone to do something they are not prepared for. Allegra and he go way back, I wouldn't want to lose either one of those friendships. He needs to stay friends with them and just cheer them on from the sidelines, and hope one of them comes to their senses and soon.

Finally someone got it! Yep This story has been inspired by amazing Pride and Prejudice. However, it is vastly different from the original, not only because it is not set in the Regency era, but also because of extra drama and all. Thank you for reviewing. I really aprreciate it.
