Jake is an ass and I hate him! That's all I got to say. He wasn't even in love with Caterina. He just wanted to bed her regardless of Chris' 10 years relationship with her.

Laurence needs to let them handle this attraction to each other. I would not have walked into the room with Jake there, and most defitinely would warn Allegra about him.

Its an interesting story so far but why is Laurence so pushy? He needs to back off a bit and let things happen naturally. I get that they are friends but Chris just seems to give into every suggestion of Laurence eventhough it makes him uncomfortable. Allegra seems to be an interesting person but I guess time will tell if things really work out for them.

Laurence is a bit of a jerk. Chris listens to him, although it doesnt want to admit. Laurence is Christopher conscience. He knows his best friend and figures out immediately that he likes Allegra, even though Chris in denial. He just wants his friend to be happy, however, it doesn't understand that he really is annoying and that Chris can't stand him when he acts like that.
Will things even work about between then? I can just tell you that they'll have a sort of friendship for a while...will it blossom? Who knows.

Lord, do something about that fool Laurence. He is annoying and Allegra is just being a bitch. That ahole Jack deserves to a beat down, how dare you show your face after you Christopher's girlfriend. Jack is a piece of work!!! I would relish a pairing with Allegra and Jack but hell I don't hate her that much.

Yep. I agree with you. If I could I would totally beat him down...maybe in the future it might happen, who knows?
Laurence is an ass, but he's also a valuable friend. I promise that he will get better, however, that would happen only after he gets worse.
Allegra is a bit of a bitch, I have to admit, but she'll get better. You might even get to tolerate and like her for a while...then it's probably going to be hate. I hate her at the moment, but that is much later on, so don't worry about it. :D

I'm really enjoying this story so far. I like the chemistry between the two but I don't understand why he says Allegra isn't his type. He's been maintaining that since sight and I'm wondering why? I'm still trying to figure out Allegra's attitude. Thank you for updating so quickly and keep them coming.

There is chemistry indeed! Allegra is not his type. Chris is not known for dating outside his race. He doesn't have anything against black women. And he really seriously dated only his ex, Caterina who was the typical Mediterranean: olive skin, dark hair and eyes. A bit latina, we could say. He thought that was his type....and then he found himself attracted to Allegra. And then he doesn't want to like anyone at the moment. He loves the single life and wants to stay single until he'll have to settle down more because of necessity than love. Thank you for reviewing. Next chapter up in a few minutes.
