Title: Chapter 22 - Lamb of Sacrifice

Yep Rita is still my favorite person, she thinks she is helping Anthony move in and in away she helped Natalia finally be able to see and deal with the truth. The truth is not Jamison nor Richard made her feel what Anthony did and maybe if she would look passed her guilt she would see that she didn't make Anthony do anything he didn't want to do.

I have no words for Jamison...I mean it's one thing to not want to be hurt again but it's another thing to put yourself in a situation where you want to be "Hear no, Speak no, and See no Evil" that you close yourself off from the truth just to live in a reality that was painted for you by a sister who has no clue as to who her sister is and what her sister needs. I mean really him not giving two shits about her taking off the ring that he so wanted her to wear to play into his fantasy is a little much. Jamison needs to move back in with his mother and latch back on to her boob, because there is no way a grown as man is it that much of a denial.

Rich what can I saw about him other than the fact that he might look like his father, might be a dog like his father, but there is something about him that I like. Maybe it's his own brand of honesty. Maybe it's the fact that he shows me that him nothing wanting to be near his family speaks volumes and confirms that only those truly important to Anthony knew about Natalia and him not telling the rest was for a good reason.

Last but not least, Anthony...lives but a hop, skip, and jump away from Natalia. Because he though he was giving her space he still wanted to be close to her. The reaction he had over her "engagement" leaves me wondering if he ain't going to show up at her house...hmm.

I'm glad the therapist told Natalia she did the right thing by being honesty, it was her need to protect that kept her being truthful and apparently Jamison's 2 year old personality that kept her from realizing sooner that he doesn't know, care to know, or want to know Natalia he wants Barbara's Natalia. How is a grown ass man going to walk out of a therapy session her manipulated Natalia into when she is finally honest. Good riddens Jamison Natalia didn't have diapers big enough to fit your man baby ass. See Joelle you got me feel all types of giddy because I was right about Jamison and he cry me a river ass. (I have so many walking punch lines for that dude.) see you got me rambling again.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Rita's plan may have been to help Anthony, but you're right--she did make Nat face the embodiment of what she was missing in her relationship with Jamison and gave her an opportunity to say goodbye to Ant.  As for moving beyond her guilt, that's going to take some time.

Lol.  I see there is still no love lost with dear Jamison.  Poor thing.  If he was a real person, I'm sure his feelings would be super hurt.  And you wouldn't even care.  *SMH and shamefully laughing on the inside--especially at the man diapers*

I like Rich too, but that doesn't mean he's not capable of some scandalous f*ckery.  He already flirted with Nat only to take jabs at her a few minutes later.  And he is his father's son; if for no other reason than that, he bears watching.

Title: Chapter 22 - Lamb of Sacrifice

Mmmhmm lying his arse off if only he would heave listened to her and not her sister barfra he would have known she is a broken woman that needs to be healed and that he should rush and what man gets engaged to a woman in 3 months? Caus usually them marriages do not tend to last long!

Author's Response:

They usually don't, but Jamison was hoping him and Nat would be one of the lucky few.  Unfortunately (or not), as we saw, things didn't work out that way.  Listening to Nat would have saved them both a lot of heartache.  Now, the damage is done.  Thanks for reading and reviewing, Keyajackson!

Title: Chapter 22 - Lamb of Sacrifice

How was being honest about het feelings destroying her life!   Becsuse het dumb wrnt to that pattu wearing thst damn ring Anthony thinks that you are engaged, for such an intelligent  woman she is dumber  than box of rocks.  Jamie knew that Natalia didn't  love him so he couldn't  be that damn hurt. Jameson you hot whst you deserved  for  listening  to Barbara and for forcing things with Nat. It's called karma  Jameson!

Author's Response:

Being honest broke Nat's heart because Jamison was a good guy and she broke his.  I feel bad for Jamison.  I think he actually did care for the woman he thought Nat was.  And more importantly, he cared for the life he wanted (marriage and kids) and saw Nat as a rare opportunity to have it.  I would image losing both would be pretty devastating.  Thanks for reading and reviewing, Pmgayles!

Title: Chapter 1 - Cougars

I feel so bad for Jamison.  That's two heartbreaks.  I hope he is still able to love after this.  Somebody should push Barbara in the deep end of the water for causing that man to think he had found the woman of his dreams.   Natalia should have told that guy from the start she was in love with Anthony.  Founding out  Anthony is a stroll away from her was a shock.  He has been aware of her every move.  How did he manage to stay out of sight?  Now that Natalia has ended this crazy relationship she better get in touch with Anthony before Sabrina  starts planning their wedding.

Author's Response:

I feel bad for Jamison too.  He was a good but damaged guy doing what he could to have the life he wanted and, at the same time, protect his broken heart.  Barb should be ashamed of the position she put both Jamison and Nat in.  But we both know she's not.

Staying out of sight hasn't been difficult for Anthony.  He's been busy doing his own thing.  Sabrina definitely has long-term plans for her and Anthony.  And she just might have her way because, as far as Nat's concerned, it's over between her and Anthony, and he seems to feel the same.  We'll see if that changes.

Title: Chapter 22 - Lamb of Sacrifice

Now about this party...Rich seems like a snake in the grass, so I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. But then again, in the nosey ass siblings sense, maybe him and Barbara would be perfect for each other. Anyways, Nat and Anthony were very composed around each other, but I'm sure it was only because of the setting. If they had been alone...Lord only knows how that exchange would've went down. The fact that he's living down the street makes me sure they'll run into each other soon enough.

Jamison smelled this coming from a mile away. That therapy session was a needed reality check for him. He kept trying to patch up things when they were really shattered beyond repair. Even though he's delusional, I still feel for him. But I'm just glad Nat was honest. Great update, JJ.

Author's Response:

Rich and Barb would have a hard time getting along seeing as how Rich is protective of Ant and Barb hates him.  But stranger things have happened.  And you're right--if Ant and Nat had met privately, things would have likely gone very differently.  Whether proximity leds to their paths crossing remains to be seen.

I feel bad for Jamison too.  He was damaged, but a good guy.  Had he and Nat met at a different time, they may have had a real chance.  Maybe.

Title: Chapter 22 - Lamb of Sacrifice

Praise the Lawd!  Nat went thru the light!

Rich, for all his crudeness and mischief, is trying to help the two.  Even if Nat doesn't work things out with Anthony, she faced facts and decided to not settle; poor woman was so stressed.

Barb told Jamison everything, but left out Anthony and Nat's relationship, bc then she would've had to tell him Nat has trouble conceiving.  I think Barb knew this would've ran Jamison off (why lead him on to simply keep Ant and Nat apart??).

Nat should tell Genniveve everything about the engagement and apologize for her part in it; Jamison is unable to bc he's on mental lockdown.  Poor Jamison felt a little sorry for him, but you can't make someone love you. I bet he will still tell Nat to work it out anyway, but once she drop the bomb on no babies--she will be talking to the wind).  I don't think he loves her like he should anyway.

Your story is the bomb and keeps getting better and better.  I just love how you wove so much into this chapter and knocked it out the park.  Nat shouldn't be worried about Sabrina since Ant moved so close to stay connected to her; he only had others bc he had to have seen Jamison at her place.

Author's Response:

Rich is a mixed bag.  His moral compass is a bit skewed, so he does bear watching.

Barb called herself doing what was best for her sister.  She left out the Anthony/failed pregnancy story because she knew how scandalous it was and didn't want to run Jamison off.  And yes, a part of her pushing Nat to be with Jamison was to keep Nat away from Anthony.

Lol @ talking to the wind.  I think Jamison has had his fill of Nat.  He does all he can to avoid emotional pain and she has become a huge source of it.  But, you never know.

Nat may or may not be worried about Sabrina.  Now that Ant has seen the engagement ring and believes Nat has truly moved on, he might be ready to take things to the next level with Sabrina.  She's definitely ready for it.  More on that in upcoming chapters.

Title: Chapter 22 - Lamb of Sacrifice

Wow, I'm glad she told Jamison even though I have a feeling he still doesn't fully get it. Or should I say he may still try when Nat is totally done.  It was good to see Anthony and very telling that his house is down the street from hers.  They need to have a talk, soon.  Rich??!! Carp a younger version of his father and I know he'd get with Natalia if she allowed it. I think he'll cause some problems soon.  Where has daddy Richard been all these months? Does he still call Natalia? I can't see him just giving up unless he found another lover to occupy his time. Great update!  I was so excited for the party!!

Author's Response:

Jamison doesn't like putting himsellf in a position to be hurt, hence his careful avoidance of hot-button, hurtful topics.  So chances are, he won't continue to pursue Nat.  But you never know.

As of right now, that talk between Nat and Anthony won't be happening.  He's involved with someone else and she has said goodbye.  But you know how quickly that can change.

Rich is one to watch, especially now that he's planning to stay in the area.  Richard has been lurking in the background and, yes, he still calls Nat.  More on that later.

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

After have read this two chs I feel that I judged jamison too harshly and now...I feel sorry for him because this tearphy is not going to work out the way he thinks it will. however I hope it'll help him to heal and teach him to not to settle for less - he's a good guy and he deserves real love.

Rita was a breath of fresh air. Blunt. Straightforward and fierce...! When  she said she was wrong about Natalia - was that a compliment, lool!? I also like Jamison's mum and i hoped she and Natalia would be friends but yeah...that's not likely.

Thanks for quick & great updates! Still hope Barf *cough*Barb gets run over and i hope Natalia goes to party - now that would be something else ;) 😉

Author's Response:

Yuukiyanagi, where have you been?  I was getting ready to send out a search party.

Rita saying she misjudged was sort of a compliment, but nothing for Nat to get excited about.  Viv and Nat remaining friends when and if the ruse is finally over is not to unlikely, but highly unlikely.

There are a lot of people hoping an automobile will send Barb to the great beyond.  And Natalia going to the party would be something else.  We'll see if she does next chapter.  Update posted.  Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Title: Chapter 1 - Cougars

I thought about this situation and realized if Anthony and Natalia had talked instead him leaving right after they found out there wasn't a baby, he would have known what to tell his father.  They could have decided if they had a connection inspite of the baby and discussed their age difference.  If that had happened maybe Jamison wouldn't be lying to his family. Rita helped Natalia see she has feelings for Anthony because she  is ready to end this engagement lie and move on.  I want to know what Anthony  been up to.  I knew he was  still in Texas somewhere.

Author's Response:

I have to agree with you.  A lot of things were left unsaid and a lot of mistrust fostered on both side when he left.  You'll get to see what's going on with Anthony in the next couple chapters.  Thanks for reading and viewing, VeMo!

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

I just realized after reading some of the reviews but I find it interesting that Rita knows a lot about Anthony's love life with Natalia. Let's take a moment to think about this for a moment, maybe Anthony only told the people he felt needed to know about Natalia. I mean Anthony doesn't really seem as connected to his family, unless I missed the part where he's called them about all that is been going on in his life. His father thinks he's a screw up, his brother thinks he should just get laid, his mother thinks...not really sure what his mother thinks. But it seems Natalia was the only one to take the time to pay attention to who he was. Rita seems like She has conversations with Anthony to know so much about Natalia. Not sure if that means much but it's a start for me.

Author's Response:

Good point, JovanBleu.  Anthony has discussed Nat with Rita, and quite a bit apparently.  He is sort of the black sheep, or was (more on that later), but is still pretty close with his family--especially his brothers and his Nanna and Pop-Pop.  Telling Rita about Nat is a step in the right direction, but the question is would he take the next step and tell his family about her?

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

Ah, role reversal, so glad that Natalia could identify herself in Jamison when she had been with Richard. But that's definitely a cycle that needs to be broken. Playing at life, faking emotions, glossing things over with smiles, and carefully spoken words, where do you as a person come to the surface? As much as Natalia is going through the motions, this chapter also showed Jamison is doing the exact same thing. For him, Natalia fits a mold but he doesn't know what's inside the mold. He's just satisfied with the outside package and that its approving to his parents/family, and its enough for him. So therapy, I think will do their relationship more harm than good, but that all depends on how honest Natalia and Jamison are willing to be with each other and themselves. Right now, I can see them going into therapy saying "Everything's fine" a million times with ear-to-ear grins on their faces.

Can we get Natalia some aloe vera for that burn Rita left behind? Ouch, but well, it did need to be said. But yea Anthony is still in Galvaston, and it would appear, according to Rita, he hasn't moved on from Natalia no matter the strides he's making in his career and social life.

I felt bad for Genevieve because she really loves Natalia, and really wants to help plan the wedding. But the longer Jamison/Natalia keep up this ruse, the more pain their deception is going to leave behind. If you're going to lie, don't drag other people into it. Better yet, don't lie period because no one ends up winning or coming out on top at the end.

Lovely chapter!

Author's Response:

I think you might be right about therapy doing more harm than good.  Jamison didn't really consider the fallout from that one in his haste to keep Nat committed. Unless they get a plant or a money grubber, smiles and "everything's fine" is only going to get them so far.

Lol.  Rita is so for real.  But her view of things have a bit of a slant.  More on that next chapter.

I feel bad for Geneveive and Nat.  Viv is offering Nat the sort of in-law relationship Richard and Anthony denied her.  Both are gonna suffer when the truth comes out.  But like you intimated, it needs to happen.

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

After I had left a review, I remembered getting back into dating after my divorce was difficult--but I did meet a man.  There was no chemistry on my part, but he wanted to try and like Nat I caved and said ok.

Over the weekend  I spoke with my sister and told her about my lack of chemistry with this man, but I did not want to hurt his feelings (I was 38).   My sister told me that she knew I had been out of the dating scene but needed to remember that now I was single, had a home and job, and then she said 'Girl, you got what a lot of women wished they had: OPTIONS'.  The option to say yes or no.

She gave me that kick and I nervously called the man and told him that things were not going to work out.  I still felt bad for hurting him, until he pulled a Jamison and tried to make me feel obligated to try and then he got upset, but I stuck to my guns.

Nat is grown and has OPTIONS--she IS NOT responsible for Jamison happiness.

Author's Response:

I hear ya, Penelope.  And Nat probably would too if she wasn't carrying all that guilt over Anthon and wasn't facing imminent infertility.  She has options, but not a lot of time and courage to exercise them.  We'll see if she can at least work on the courage part next chapter.  Thanks for sharing your insight and your story!

Title: Chapter 1 - Cougars

I don't know if I have said this before but I REALLY love this story. And though the characters may jump on my last nerve, they are real and nuanced. That is so appreciated. The deeper the frustration I feel while reading, the more real the characters seem to me. So thank you!

This chapter really opened my eyes to how easily people will cling to what they want to happen instead of paying attention to what is actually happening. But something isn't right with how much Jamison is holding onto this one-sided relationship. There is fuckery afoot. Natalia clearly is settling and going through the motions. Yet he is adamant on letting the mediocre times roll. I don't get it.

And Rita gave me all kinds of life. Was it her business to snatch Natalia's edges? No. But damnit if it wasn't needed. I don't agree with everything she said but it was very refreshing.

Oh Natalia. She is really starting to do some well needed reflection. I just want her to be great and happy. Even if she is by herself. I want her to take control of her life and put herself first. I believe that she will get there. I am anticipating the moment it happens (though I want to see her punch Barbara in the throat more). A girl can dream...

I can't wait to see what happens next...as long as I have an alcoholic beverage readily available lol.

Author's Response:

Jamison's behavior is the result of various issues and concerns you'll get a glimpse into next chapter.  It still may not seem reasonable, but I hope it'll make sense.

Rita will snatch whosever edges she needs to for her Anthony.  And that's probably why Nat respected her instead of snapping back.

Nat is slowly but surely arriving at a place where she's no longer driven by guilt and fear.  Cracking Barb's cricoid might be just the boosts she needs.  : )

Title: Chapter 1 - Cougars

Lmao Rita got all up in her ass smh left poor nat speechless it was hilarious and kinda hurtful with just the right amount of honesty and kindness to make it not as horrible. Anthony needs to stay in his side of Galveston because I don't think nat can take much more of the mental and emotional abuse before she completely cracks. I still like Jamison reguardless of his decided ignorance and his family I just hope they can atleast remain friends and  nat be cool enough with his family because she's gonna need some support since her family is basically being cut off

P.S let me just say I feel a tad special that you replied to my comment. Keep writing!

Author's Response:

I like Jamison too.  He's not a bad guy.  Just a damaged one.  Happens to the best of us.

Rita is a no-holds-barred kind of chick.  She doesn't necessarily have anything against Nat, but her only concern is Anthony.  If Nat becomes a casualty in her mission to see him happy, so be it.

Whether Nat and Anthony stay on their sides of the island (...) remains to be seen.  More on that next chapter.

Ok...I like Rita a lot! But DAMN!! She went in on Nat. Jeez. I wouldn't even have gone back to work after that intense reading. I would've followed her old ass right out that door and gone straight to the closest Happy Hour.

Again...Jamison (0_0 ) He's starting to look REAL desperate now. Sometimes old relationships shouldn't be brought up in new ones...but I'd question his last marriage.

Natalia. *sigh* She's so tired. She must be. I just need her to gain a little strength for when she see's Barabra But I'm rooting for her. I just hope that she finds AND gets the love and support and understanding that she needs from someone deserving of her.

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

While it was not Rita's place or business to approach Natalia like that, at least she was honest. I don't think she was harsh or that out of line. Natalia is the kind of people who needs tough loving to  open their eyes.

Yes Rita doesn't know what Natalia went trough with her marriage with Richard and how he was keeping her a secret and what not. But then again, after her heartbreak and failed marriage, instead of taking some time to heal herself and do some soul searching, she stayed bitter and decided that she wants revenge. She had accomplished nothing by doing that. Instead it made her more miserable, and as you can see also more pathetic. She just keeps and keeps lying to herself and making the same mistakes over and over again.

Anthony did know that Natalia was in a traumatized relationship with Richard. And she indeed did gave him plenty of out's regarding the baby and a relationship with her, but it wasn't like she tried hard enough. Granted if she was indeed pregnant, the baby would have been his, so he would have every right to take care of his baby and be in the babies life. As for an relationship if her answer was no, then she should have stick to it. He came to her, yes, but she also accepted it. Both wanted this, and both are to blame for their failed relationship.

In a way I can understand Anthony's hesitance in telling his family about  his relationship with Natalia. Not because he doesn't care for her, or wants to keep her a secret, but because lets face it, its a fucked up situation if we are honest with each other. I get that they like each other and all. But she is much older than him, and to top it of, she was married to his father. It shouldn't matter, but that's life.

Anthony did fucked up, but Natalia wasn't also any better. But if she felt that she had enough she had every right to break things off with Anthony. She deserves to be happy for once in her life. The problem that I have with her is more the fact that she for some how just can't seem to get it right. Her relationship with Jamison just doesn't make any sense. She just doesn't give herself the time to heal properly. She keeps jumping in to relationships. And now she is attached to some needy psycho who only cared about what he wants.

Author's Response:

At the end of the day, Anthony, Nat, and Jamsion are three grown-ups in full possession of all their faculties.  With the execption of Nat seducing Anthony to get back at Richard (something he didn't have the slightest problem with) no one is being completely taken advantage of.  Nat isn't anymore deserving of a read (from a complete stranger about something that had nothing to do with her) than Anthony and Jamison.  Anthony lied and Jamison is living one and insisting Nat do the same.

And I don't know what else Nat was supposed to do to dissuade Anthony when she had feelings for him, was carrying his kid, and resisted him for weeks (or why she should have tried in the first place).  But that's beside the point.  They both knew where the other was coming from (or at least had a good idea) and, as you said, both played a part in things falling apart.  I don't think anyone has cast blame on Anthony other than to point out that he's not innocent and Nat isn't the only on responsible for how it all went down.

Even Nat understands why Anthony would be hesitant in tellling his family about them.  But he didn't just not tell his family.  He lied about being with someone else.  That said a lot to her about what he thought of her and their future.

I'm not going to split hairs about how long is long enough to wait before entering into another relationship, but Nat didn't go in search of a relationship with either Anthony or Jamison.  And it's debatable whether Anthony should even be tallied in the numbers.  The pregnancy was unplanned and the only reason they became involved.  And dating Jamison was supposed to be a part of her healing process.  The only relationship I'd categorize as ill-advised is the one she has with Jamison, and only in the last chapter after she realized her heart's not in it.  But that's just me.

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

Rita is everything. She came in and snatched both my edges as well as Natalia's. All I could think of was "so nasty and so rude". But I was glad for her introduction; outside of Anthony, It feels like Rita is the only one who offered Nat any sincere condolence and support/understanding over the loss of her baby. A complete stranger is more caring than her own family and friends.

Nat is making baby steps to happiness and that's really all I can ask for. Just her recognizing what she is doing is great and a step in the right direction. Now ima just need for her to show up and show out if she goes to Antony's party and she can bring Barbara's man in waiting along. Competition never hurt anyone and Jamison needs a bit of a wake up call so he can be either a little less desperate or finally see and acknowledge that there is some writing on the wall.

I am so excited for three next chapter! I hope to see morw and Nat interactions in the future; i don't know why but I really enjoy their brief scene. Rita took Nat out of her element and I want more of that in a more constructive manner. And as always excellent update!

Author's Response:

Lol @ Rita on a whirlwind of snatching edges.  You will definitely get to see her interact with Nat more.  Don't know if you'll be a fan of it, but it's coming.

Nat is trying, but Barbara's man in waiting (lol) is offering a lot of resistance.  If she goes to the party and takes him, he'd probably have see Nat and Anthony mid-congress before he saw her as something other than a dream come true.  But who knows.  The scales have begun to fall away from her eyes.  Maybe his are next.

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

I am not sure I liked how Rita approached Nat at her job and then attempt to give her a dressing down.  She has no idea what Richard put her through as a secret and then to have his son do the same.  You can't claim you are grown on one hand and can make your own decisions and then claim how young you are on the other when those decisions don't work out the way you want them to.  Nat has been emotionally traumatized from her relationship with Richard and Anthony knew that.  She gave him plenty of out's regarding her and the baby.  She attempted to let him enjoy being a young man and HE came to her after everything settled down.  Anthony knows good and damn well he messed up along with Nat.  They both share blame on this relationship crumbling at this point.  We are passed the victim and perpetrator scenario.

Now as for Jamison.  As I would tell a woman, I am saying to a man, she is just not that into you.  Move one to someone who wants to be with you.  Nat stop stringing this man along exactly how Richard did to you.  Now that you can SEE what the hell is happening, it is time for you to step up and end it.  She needs counseling definitely but by herself and not with Jamison trying to override her every thought and word.  Every single time she expresses how wrong this is, how she doesn't feel that way, he continues to weasel his behind into ignoring her words and getting her to do what he wants.  I think the counseling is going to backfire on Jamison

Now I would love to see Nat kick Jamison and the rest of her "well-meaning" (sarcasm) family and friends to the curb and show up at the party looking damn fine and then dare Anthony to say exactly what they were to each other in a room of his freakin' colleagues.  If he ain't ashamed of their relationship, let's see if he acknowledge them being an ex-couple when people wonder who she is.  Great way to see if he has grown in this time apart.

Alright, rant over and I am loving it b/c I have just read and typed this up when I am suppose to be doing work. :)

Author's Response:

Rita is rough and doesn't care about anyone but Anthony.  A lot of what she said was paraphrasing and her take on what happened.  How much responsibility he's willing to take for the break-up remains to be seen.

You might be right about counseling backfiring.  I don't think Jamison really thought that one through when he suggested it.  But desperation doesn't offer a lot of room for reflection.

Nat might go to the party, but I don't know that Anthony acknowledging her in front of colleagues will help his case--not with the lie he told his family burned into her memory.  But we'll see if she goes to the party.  If...

Thanks for reading and reviewing, Lajack!  And you're not alone.  I'm always writing when I'm supposed to be doing work.  : )

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

Go toward the light, Nat...that's right, take little steps and go toward the light.  Poor girl left an old man who cheated/hid her to get engaged to one who seems stuck to her titty like a baby.

Rita was right and Nat should go, maybe he has moved on and is dating, but I think he is more focus and mature than Nat (remember his mom said he had trying days, but has moved on sociable?).

I wouldn't be surprised if the therapist is Smothison's friend and he has told him/her to push Nat toward believing she loves him.  These two are way to old to be playing games.

You know your story is more than good from all the reviews & some are so funny.

Author's Response:

Not the light, Penelope.  Lol.

Rita (Anthony's mentor--his mom's name is Mercede) knows more than Nat assumed but not quite everything.  More on that next chapter.

A therapist plant would be a quite a plot twist.  Hmm.  Let me marinate on that one.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, Penelope, and for adding to the giggles!

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

Stop it Nat! Since you have come to the conclusion you are in way acting like Richard do not continue doing this to Jamison. The truth hurts, but Jamison is a grown man, he will eventually get over it if he has all his scruples and I think he does. No one wants to hear they are not loved but it's better than hanging on to something that could never be. Shame on you Nat! I know you are conflicted, but it's time to do the right thing and let Jamie go. Make him hear you. I think Nat is scared of hurting his feelings, but his feelings are going to be hurt and crushed no matter what. Nat has to sit down with him and give him REAL talk. Not in a brutal way, but she has to explain her actions and what lead her to the point she is now. Wonderful update!!

Author's Response:

You're right, Nat is afraid of hurting Jamison's feelings, and even when she decides she's willing to get over that, he won't listen.  Real talk is difficult if your audience isn't receptive, but hopefully she'll find a way to make it happen.  We'll see.  Thanks for reading and reviewing!

She is KILLING ME!! I agree with the other commenter. Jamison seems needy and since he is getting his information from her sister I don't trust him. He doesn't listen and I don't think he cares about her as much as he claims...there must be an ulterior motive somewhere.

Author's Response:

Thanks CrimsonBlaze.

Title: Chapter 21 - Mirror, Mirror

Maybe this therapy will do some good for Natalia. Maybe it will help her clear her head at least a little bit. But sadly it won't help her from stop being stupid though. Stupidity is something that you need to work on yourself.

I honestly don't understand how Natalia can stand Jamison? Doesn't she find him annoying? With all his begging and shit. Its pathetic. He seems so needy that it even seems creepy. The way he just dismissed what Natalia wants to say and Natalia's needs. He only wants he hear and do what he wants. And she is so easy to manipulate, its sad really. And since she for some reason just don't have the ability to open her mouth and say what she truly wants, Jamison will continue taking advantage of it.

I honestly do hope she goes to that party. Because like Rita said, maybe when Anthony sees her, it will open his eyes and see that she is not that special indeed. Maybe it will help him move on with his life. I honestly don't think it will work out. Both lack in communication skills. And I think its obvious that Natalia has a lot that she needs to work on. Not to be mean, but I think he is better of without her.

Author's Response:

Jamison is pathetic and creepy.  Nat's stupid.  And Anthony's better off without her.  Wow.  This must be a miserable read for you.  I appreciate you reading (and commenting), but if you're not feeling anyone but Anthony, you might not want to be bothered with the rest because regardless of what happens between her and the other characters, Nat will be prominently featured throughout the rest of this story.
