Poor Savvy! I know that in the future that Camille and Hiram would be stronger for their daughter, if anything this will bring all three of them closer. Now, I have been thinking long and hard about Savvy's appearance because I am guessing the Hiram's mother or father has African ancestory in them but pass for white because that could only explain it. I am banking on the father. Just my thought.

I really hope Savannah can pull through this sickle cell battle given how small she was when she was born and the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck I'm not surprised her immune system isn't that strong. But if she's strong enough to survive her birth she's a strong little toddler. As for what's going on in that family tree the Whitfields have some explaining to do.

More trouble for Hiram and Camille. They have had quite a few challenges. I hate Savannah has sickle cell. That will a very challenging disease for the family. I am hoping for wrong diagnosis. Although this will get Hiram to investigate his family's background as well as Priscilla's. Hopefully he can dig up some history from the court house and the news papers.

I am sure when Hiram's mom find out there has been some hanky pinky going on, it will probably drive her crazy. Who knows she and Hiram's dad may have African American ancestors. Want that shake up the klans?

Hiram may find some hidden papers of his family history at the cabin because it was a secret place for Hiram's dad. None of the other family members seems to know of the cabin.

Great update! I had a feeling there was a "Fly in the buttermilk" as they say! Well, well, well! Ms. Ruth is going to fall dead when she finds out that, the love of her life Hiram Sr. has black folks in his family!

She will be shunned and maybe crazy Debbie will finally back off!

Ugh!!! I wish this story was set today. If a child misses so many days of school the school administrator and the resource officer will go check on the child if they don't respond when called or letters are sent. These excuses for humans need to be beaten just like they hurt little Stevie, by someone bigger ad's meaner. I hope Stevie runs away and finds Hiram and his new family.

On a happier note, I'm glad those two are growing closer. Savvy is too cute and it's going to be spoiled rotten with love, but not in a had way. I want them to get Stevie and go away, far away.

Loved the update! Poor Steven! That whole family is abusing that poor boy. Hope he escapes from that environment. Martha is a smart woman but it's too bad she doesn't have any positive influence on Debbie.

I sure hope that when Hiram leaves he takes Steven with him, his so-called parents are nothing but lazy uneducated ignorant drunk assholes.
