Anika couldn't save her parents but she was going to try with everything in her to save Hunter from that Panther and she did, Now Hunter will have scars to. There is nothing that can bring two people closer then when one saves the others life. Hunter saw Anika's light and he recognized it, Anika is seeing hunter heart and she is recognizing he is a good person and not at all what she thought he was. Don't you just love grandmas. Mrs.Ernestine is a strong woman she's holding on to faith. Mr. Sterling makes me like him more and more, taking the time to go to Anika's grandmother house personally and inform them of the situation is being a real boss and human being with morals, compassion and a good heart. Anika will need to be secure with herself before allowing someone to get close to her again.  She is carrying around too much guilt and trying to be everybody's saviour.  I wonder if she realizes now how much of a selfish ass Jason was.  That was one person and she shouldn't base what that prick did to her as the standards for all men.

"Whoever and wherever this man was Anika doubted that she would ever meet him one day." That will be...STERLING! But Jason...all I can say is he is an asshole. And one would think that he would understand that Anika had vitiligo because of the fire incident or it doesn't have to be because of the fire. It's just the fact that he degrades her because of her vitiligo shows me that he cares more about appearances than anything and THAT he still has that teenage mentality (side note: I know not ALL teenage duded act like Asshole. Yes, that is HIS name...Asshole). To be honest, I think he wants to take her virginity and be done with her. I don't think he ever loved her.

My heart goes out for Anika, and I hope that she has the confidence to someday tell Sterling about her vitiligo. Great update as always!

Hunter bet not react the same as that little shit. Man vs boy, man vs boy. And if Hunter does react the same, then he's still a boy.

Jason is an even bigger asshole than Hunter's mom, well maybe about the same level of asshole. I bet once they get rescused, she and Hunter will be celebrities because this is the kind of news story people like. That jackass will probably show up again, probably wanting something from her.

The relationship seems to be  progressing nicely at a very stead pace. I know she still doesn't trust him, but I know it's coming!

Hey! I'm not sure what you're plan is for this story once you finish it (edit, publish, etc.) but I just wanted to let you know there are some inconsistencies. In chapter one Hunter mentions flirting with Giselle for over a year and finally wanting to have sex with her but in this chapter it had already happened. I saw something else too but forgot what it was, sorry! Other than that, this is an interesting plot. Can't wait to see how these 2 will get past the hatred lol.

Hmm, Hunter being away from all the trappings and expectations bestowed upon him by his mother and society may actually be a decent individual.  I am curious as they continue to be stranded on this island and get to know each other how Hunter will act once they return to civilization and those expectations are present again.  Will he return to the Good Ole Boy club or actually start to stand up to his overbearing mother and the village idiots.  For me that will be the true test of Hunter's personality and being a man.

Honestly felt a little sad for Hunter because his mother was actually a horrible mom that showed him his simplest desires were unworthy.  He took pride in building that treehouse with his dad, a memory more than the tree house itself and she ruined that for him.  I wonder if she has something over his father's head for him to have remained silent.  At this time his father seems like a punk ass bish for letting this woman have this much control over his SON, who has to grow into a MAN.  Unlike
Anika, Hunter did not have any good role models for adulthood and being a man.  Can he recover from that at this late stage?  I am waiting to see.
