Yikes! I get where Sugar's coming from not wanting to go man hunting. After all, she did spend 18 years with a soul-sucking balrog so I understand why a woman is hesitant. Also, Rochelle has no filter - my God. xD
Sugar, I know you're busy and all, but hurry up and drop that loser's last name. It will free yourself further plus kick his pride in the balls. And I'm all for Lance getting hurt in the balls, especially if Sugar comes out better for it.
As for Chef....Sugar raises very strong points given how they met. He'll have to walk the very straight and narrow around Sugar. She still has her defenses up after Lance, and I'm sure she didn't meet him as his battered self was kicked from a car. To qoute folks who aren't me, he better come correct.
Speaking of come correct, Mallory might find *his* ass out of a job if he keeps blowing off Sugar like that. Lord knows I was ready to fire him from that phone call. Sugar got rid of one shiftless man, she can bump him too.

Chef will explain what things happened the way it did on their first date. As for Mallory, he's on a journey to become more responsible, LOL. Hopefully, Sugar doesn't have to beat him up before then.

I think I'm going to be writing this story strictly in Sugar's point of view, but how Chef thought about the conversation will be brought up on their first date.

Excellent update. Sugar was told some harsh truths by her sister. But they needed to get said. I love that Chef remained polite during Sugar's ranting. I can't wait for their next meeting.

For the first chapter, Shug forgot broke, too. He'll be lonely, miserable AND broke dealing with that little trifling heifer! Yeah, she's going to show him something alright! And he deserves every bit of it.
For this last chapter, I'm wondering what he's doing or has been doing to get shoved out of a moving vehicle like this is The GodFather or something? What kind of people does he deal with to warrant that? After all she's been through, some shady creep is not what she has coming.
Having said all that, its quite the introduction for these two!

She is a better woman than I am. I would have gone off at him thinking he should be acknowledged for her hard work! She did so much for him during their marriage, how could he do her like that? I hope Sugar finds the love and happiness she deserves. And I love her brother! Every woman should have a brother like Lory.

Some people are just greedy. They take and take and take until they grow tired of the person that keeps giving. Lance wants a legacy and he believed that Sugar couldn't give him that, so he traded her in for a younger model. However, newer prettier things aren't always good for your health and he'll see that in due time.

I'm LMAO at that frowny face in Sully's message. I imagine he wanted to Kirk Franklin Stomp on face during the divorce if he's that protective of his sister. He's right though - staying past 2 a.m. isn't safe, even if she did just meet her new leading man. ;)
