Author's Chapter Notes:

A fellow writer friend of mine and I were discussing the amount of fiction we'd been reading lately. She brought out the elephant in the room about there being a lack of thick or heavy dark skinned women in ficition, although there has been a beautiful increase in the shades of women presented, she noted that "caramel and hazel" were still increasingly popular favorites. While I agree, I do want to acknowledge that every shade of woman is gorgeous, but there's something about reading a woman who is closer to my shade that I find comforting. So I want a series documenting that and that's whats important to me right now. I am not saying this to offend anyone and I know it's a touchy subject, but I'm tired of merely sweeping it under the rug and ignoring it like it's not happening.

So here's how I'm moving past the dark skin v. light skin debate and moving into the love!!!

If anything bothers you or you have any critiques, concerns, or crude comments, I welcome them; but do not read if you don't want. If you are easily offended, I don't apologize, but I understand and I welcome your comments.

Thank you and I love you all!
