It would be cool if you did 3-4 snippets/chapters of their lives. For example the first when they have the baby, next when Omari is middle school age, and them when he is about to go to college. If you decide to create his story, then you can pick up from there. I might be the loner, jut Ibwould still like to see a story with Gabriel in it and a woman that can put him in his place.

MJ you are doing your thing with this story!! I absolutely love the dynamic between Sugar and Chef, especially after this chapter. I loved the question game. The raw emotions talking about the loss of children is one that the readers can feel. Chef laid everything out on the table for Sugar to know and "see" his scars and that he wants to be the man in her life that her husband wasn't and couldn't be. Sugar, I know she's cautious and wants to break out of the shell and experience life. Kind of like the book "Leo the Late Bloomer." Chef is just the person to do that. It helps that her mom and dad already love and trust him. I like Gizzard and her mom's dynamic. That's what true friendship is about. Excellent work!
I completely understand about the co-worker you are forced to work with you, but you have aboslutely NO desire to. Just remember the kiddos are who you are there for. Last year was a trying year for my supervisor and I. This year should be slightly better.
Thank you so much! The questions game was a lot of fun to write because it really brought out their personalities and allowed them to see a glimpse of each other. I actually cried a little when I wrote the scene about Sugar's miscarriages and Chef understanding because he thought his daughter, even comtemplated suicide himself. Sugar is just very cautious because she devoted 18 years to a man and it was all for nothing. She suffered and lossed during that time. She doesn't want to dive back into a serious relationship. She wants to find herself through having fun. Though Chef has some odds in his favor. Her parents approve of him, which is a bonus. I enjoyed writing Georgette and Gizzard's friendship. I like building side character relationships.
As for work, I've been going to my classroom before school starts to get it ready and that chick tried me this week and thought she would come out on top. Ha! I am so disgusted with her. I am going to close my door and teach. That is the only way my school year will get better.

The content is fabulous, I love how Chef and Sugar are learning and growing as individuals and inadvertenly as a couple together. All of the characters are well developed, including the unlikeable ex and his wife. The vulnerablities and scars that they have shown each other make me love them so much more as a couple. I hope they get past this "no strings attached" sooner rather than later, especially since Chef is going to meet Sully and the rest of the crew. I hope Chef takes her to meet his cousins and grandma soon too or they come to visit and meet her. I love how Chef followed her home and played the little game about the keys to get to spend the night with her and just sleep with Sugar without having sex. Update soon.

As someone who is closer to 40 than 20 (Okay, I'm 31), I truly appreciated lead characters that are older. That being said, Chef is hoooooooot. I need him, or someone like him, in my life. An older man with silver hair AND tattoos is my weakness. I want to jump through my computer and let him have his wicked way with me. Maybe I can find someone like him when I go on vacation in a few weeks.
Anyway, good for Sugar for going after what she wants. That ex of hers is going to get his. It was like the situation my friend was telling me about her ex husband today. I already love her siter. I cannot wait for the next update. I know it's almost back to school time for you, unfortunately me too, so pleeeeeeeeease update before then. I can/need to be able to reread this story and your others over and over again during my "lunch" break. Great job!!
Isn't he hot?! I knew had to write this story just for the chance to have him as my inspiration. As for school, yeah it's almost time. We go back August 7. I'm not looking forward to it because the drama with my new grade level partner is getting worse. Uuuuhhh. But I'll be able to update a few more times hopefully before we officially go back. Reviewer: Mavs0515 Signed This chapter was well worth the wait! The prelude and bumping of the bones, despite Sugar trying to stop the inevitable, was perfectly executed. You did a fabulous job. Emotions were all over the place between the two of them. Sugar needs to work through her issues and Chef is going to be there to help her the entire way and show her what being with him, a real man, is like. No matter how hard she tries to push him away, Chef will always be there. Chef is a good man who deserves the perfect woman for him and Sugar is that woman.
Sugar is definitely going to freak out if a child comes of this. Everyone else will be happy, except for two people - Sugar and her twin. I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter. I am sure it will be interstin'.

If a child does come out of this, Sugar and Sully are definitely going to freak and probably not in a good way. Sully moreso because he's gonna be hurt that everyone knows about Chef except him and Sugar because she's had so many failed pregnancies that she's not gonna be thrilled at all about being pregnant a fifth time. But we'll have to see what comes.

She sure did learn after they went looking for Helena. If she isn't already preggo, then she surely is after that display in the bedroom. I cannot wait for Sugar to finally be open to being something more or being in love with Chef. I know she's going to freak out about the drinks she had if she is already with child and Chef will certainly be there to comfort her. You hit the nail on the head about that one. She was choosing to ignore the signs and Miles put her between a rock and a hard place literally to force her to realize he ain't playing games.
