Pop needs to pull himself together. He is losing his family. Sunny is going off to be Nikki's mistress and Benji is going to boarding school. His kids are old enough to see his distructive pattern. If he wants to gain their respect, now is the time to become his own man.

I just found this story today. It's really good and I'm intrigued oh how it is all going to turn out. Also I don’t know why but I just find Russian gangsters to be sooo sexy and Nikki is uber sexy. So I know he is a bad guy and this is a bad situation all around but I kind of want to be together for real. So I guess I will keep reading and see what happens. And for your first time writing a sexy time. It was Hot!

Even a short update is good to read.
I think Nikolai is really beginning to fall for Sunshine. He is really serious when he shows how upset he would be if she runs from him. If she ran or was taken, I think Nikolai would do ANYTHING to get her back...and kill whoever was responsible.
And discrete personal guard...I think we are talking about Sergei. But two of them, I hope that does not include Anatoly.

Daddy is selfish just a selfish old man. She tells him if he stops then he will let her go free early but all he can think about is the plan and gambling which we all know his luck and then there in lies more debt for Nikki to pay and longer for Sunny to stay.
Nikki is so possessive...I wonder what he would do if she did run. But I trust her @ her word and I think he does to she will not run.
When she was taking off her jewerlry I thought so sure Pops was going to see it and go hock it and spend the money gambling he has already spend part of the rent money on drinking.

Damn. Pops is just ridiculous. I really hope that he gets some help. I love this story, becuase it has such a realness about it. There are so many men in the world like Pops, who are always looking for a quick fix in life.
It felt as if a few anvils may have dropt in that chapter. Sunny being faithful and loyal to Niki and not running from him, are two things that could definately happen. If Sunny fall in love with him and she see's something truly violent in him, then I can definately see her running. Sergei and Sunny will be spending lots of time together, where she will probably help him become Americanized. I have no doubt Sergei will fall in love with her, but if the faithful part was an anvil, then his feeling will be reciprocated.

Again, Sunny is quite the cool, skilled negotiator, given the circumstances of her arrangement with with Nicholai and the potential danger that she faces with him.
Sunny and Benji need to ride out the next six weeks and leave, not look back. "Pops" is a lost cause at the moment, an addict not the least bit ready or interested in giving up his drugs of choice, gambling and alcohol. He's sick.
I notice Sunny's passing mention of her five year term with Nicholai ending earlier if her father quits gambling. I wish she would be as direct with her father as she is with Nicholai, sometime before she and Benji leave, and tell her father, point blank, that he's sick and needs treatment.
I'm enjoying reading this story.

I feel sorry for Pops. No matter what schemes he gets into his head when he finally comes to his senses he will have lost both his children. That bottle is really going to look good. He learned nothing from his wife. Good chapter, can't wait for more.

Her father. OMG her father. I grew up like her a little (no Russian mobster, but definitely the same affinity for schemes that didn't work) and I just want to hug her and beat some sense into his butt. Excellent work. I'm totally addicted.

Whew! That chapter got pretty intense. The sex was hot. She awfully young for him but every young woman should have an older lover for a time. Great chapter.

Your writing is so good. All the characters are so clear and developed. I love that Niki made all the efforts for Sunshine. Her mother really gave her dreams to strive for and I think that is awesome. Maybe it was having to live life with her father, but Sunshine seems so much more mature and practical than a normal eighteen year old.
As you read the story you sometimes forget her age and just see someone adjusted to the what they feel they have to do and will make the best of it. Case in point is asking for a time limit so that she does not give up her whole life for a father who sees her as the golden ticket.
The love scene was really hot and sweet at the same time. Leaving it unclear as to who said I am yours was a nice teaser. I personally think it was Niki. I really like this story and characters. Thanks for the update and keep listening to your steel fisted muse.
