A little late with this review but then I always have been a big procastinator. I absolutely love Scotty and Kat's daughter. She just sounds adorable. :) I think Kat handled the Scotty situation perfectly and I look forward to seeing how they interact with each other now that they are expecting a child together.

Aww I loved it!! Scotty ranaway was not what was expected but it was quite expected for Kat to go where he was. I like how he really wants to do this right and be there every step of the way with Kat and this unborn child. I just know that him being there is going make their relationship grow into something more stronger and possibly a relationship.
I have to thank you for this story because you introduced me to the Cold Case show and I love it. I just watched the eppy where Will got shot. I think all of the charactes have a strong bond and friendship but there was one that stood out to me and that was Lil and Will. Was Will initially Lilly's partner because those scenes where she kind of hesitated about going to the hospital to see him spoke volumes. Then when she did go, she was just sitting there looking at him. (I really liked that part). I have a question...was Lilly crying because of her father being there and if so why? Or, was she cryijng because sje almost lost Will?
I Know, I'm deep into the show now. :)

Oooh, yay, you're watching the show! I'm glad you're liking it! To answer your question, Lilly and Jeffries were never partners. Her hesitation in going to the hospital and her subsequent breakdown stem from her own shooting a couple of seasons ago, which she never truly dealt with.

that was a cute update. I read in your author's note that while the lines are blurred concerning the relationship between Scotty and Lilly in the series that's not the case in this story. But so far the only real perspective of Scotty that we get comes from Lily. and while it gives a good look into who he is, there seems to be more going on then just partners. I may be reading the situation wrong. I realize that partners spend a lot of time together on the job and have to depend on on another and this spills over into their personal lives. However I would like to see more interaction from between the main characters, and how they see each other. I really like this story and am looking forward to reading more.
