Well, well, well, I've been waiting for this and you did not disappoint. Excellent start. I'm so eager to find out what's behind the mysterious stranger that showed up on Jake's doorstep. Love the characters so far. Just all areound great job. Update soon!
Author's Response: I'm so glad you like, I was kind of feeling the pressure a bit hahaha, when you start talking about a story there's always that concern you might be building up expectations and overhyping yourself. Josephine is very mysterious indeed, but Jake is good at getting to core of things so we'll see if he'll be able to figure her out.

Yeah one of things that fascinates me about Chicago is how it is this city of neighborhoods each with it's only personality and flavor, so I really wanted to capture that gritty feel of Bridgeport which is a mostly Irish, quitessential Chicago neighborhood.

Loving the story so far... Lot's of mystery going on.. Girlfriend is packing - someone walking around with a bag of hundred dollar bills, fake ids and a gun just sort of implies a level of dangerousness
this story has peaked my interest - can't wait until the next update... great job on your first orginal fiction.. right out the box.. so hope to see more from you in the future...

Yep Josephine is got a lot of grit to her, and Jake is right to be cautious! I'm happy that you're loving it so far!
