Gwen and Arthur meet at last. I really like this story so far. Gwen is such an underused character in Merlin giving her a connection to family from Ethopia is a grwat choice. Also giving us a stronger sense of the period and connecting Uther's war on magic to real people is great as well. I'll certainly be looking fo rmore.

Wow! Just read these first 5 chapters! I am SO impressed! You truly have a fantastic turn of phrase! Your descriptions are brilliant, they (along with the scene with the dancing, with Gwen and Arthur's first meeting) really reminded me of Thomas Hardy and in particular Tess of the D'Urbervilles. Love the bits of independent Gwen you are giving us and am so looking forward to some Gwen/Arthur interaction (if I'm honest I'm hoping Gwen will be quite calm and collected and Arthur will be a bit awkward lol) Once again, I just wanted to emphasis just how impressed I am thus far (and I'm not particularly easily impressed.) Great job, I just look forward to reading the rest of it :)

Yay! So glad you updated! I am anticipating the lovers' confrontation with actual introductions nonetheless. But the angst of the war on magic is felt through and I hope to see more tension or whatever you plan for this story.

Uther is such a ruthless and cruel tyrant! Morgana raised a good question! Who were those other marauders who killed innocent women and children?
That Melwas is a vile, repugnant, and detestable, filthy ANIMAL! How dare he show disrespect for the Lady Guinevere! He should be punished for his offence against a Lady!
Will ARWEN meet? How will Arthur feel when he sees Guinevere up close?

Hi, thanks for reading! Gwen doesn't have magic, but I've tried to show that she and her family practiced a pagan, earth-centred spirituality that holds good magic in high esteem (this is why she must hide her participation in the pagan Midusmmer rituals etc). No she hasn't 'met' the dragon but considering he is the last of his kind, and that she's part of a belief tradition that reveres anicent magic, I thought it was safe to assume she would know his name.

Wow.. It's wonderful written.. I'll love it so very much... But i wish it would be longer.. I just can't get enough, Hehe.. Love how Gwen and Arthur found each other.
