Tense confrontation between Morgause/Uther, Morgana/Gwen, Morgause/Gwen....interesting chapter. A lot happened. Keep it coming!

My goodness, this was certainly an explosive chapter. But stupid question...who is Aili? Was she the midwife?
Where is Arthur? Why did Melwas and Uther come to the cottage? Is the other woman, the one who has been watching and who Gwen has caught glimpses of, Morgause? I have questions!
I'm also personally offended on Gwen's behalf by the demon child's insults of whore and slut, lol. You'd think the little brat would be grateful that Gwen was aiding in his birth. :) Then again, perhaps Angelica's concoction wasn't meant to aid, but to kill or other incapacitate.
Poor Gwen - still trying to help Morgana, and clearly in over her head. Glad Merlin was there.
So is Morgana's child to be Mordred?

Aili is Gwen's handmaiden: she doesn't appear much but she features a tiny bit in some of the earlier chapters.
I'm so glad yo enjoyed this update, it was a difficult chapter to write not the least because I have no experience in midwifery :p

How many women did Arthur fancied before Guinevere? Whether he's worthy of Gwen's love or not depends on his belief in the sanctity of the marriage vows.

Why did Melwas show up with Uther? Has he been spying on Guinevere? Arthur better wise up and man up to thrash the hell out of Melwas for thinking of harming the woman he has grown to love!
How does Uther knows Morgause? There are secrets even Uther hides from Arthur. Will Arthur pried them from Uther?
How dare Morgause insult Guinevere! Guinevere will never betray (she'd better not) Arthur, the man she has developed feelings for (hopefully)!
Does Morgana actually knows what she's doing? She doesn't sound like she is in possession of her own faculties! Has Morgause corrupted her completely?
Will Gwen learn about Merlin's magic? Will she keep it secret or reveal it to Arthur? Arthur has to learn that not all magic is evil! Will he be present to witness the good magic can do?
More ARWEN scenes please... caressing Guinevere's cheek was just too soothingly romantic!
