Great story so far Brenda, love the chemistry between Inga and Charlie and I can't wait to see how their relationship develops.

As for Jermaine, what a CONTROL FREAK, he seems like the type of guy that hates when a woman DUMPS him, he wants to be the DUMPER and not the DUMPEE.. besides I have a feeling we have not see that last of that A-HOLE.

Great update. So much for Charlie wanting to find a virgin. When he saw Jermain attack Inga, she all of sudden became "his Inga". I love his take charge personality. I just sorry he wasn't able to deal Jermaine man to man before the sheriff showed up.

As for Val, I am glad she is finally seeing Charlie for the man he is. I wish she could see how self destructive Jared is. Jared does'nt love anyone but himself.

Love, love love this story; Charlie is so adorable and honorable...so glad he was able to communicate to his mother all that he was feeling.  I can't believe she was really that oblivious to all he was going through.  I really hope things change for all their sakes.  So glad the twins turned out well and didn't follow in dead-beat Jared's footsteps...

I have a feeling Jared is in for a rude awakening, if Valerie is true to her word and actually makes some positive changes.

Okay between you and SS, why am I seriously thinking about visiting a small town ANYWHERE.  What a delightful beginning. I really like Charlie.  He is lovable. Thank you!

I can't stand Jared.

Charlie just needs to get up and leave. How much more can they suck ghe life out of him?

Where to begin with this. The psychological value alone is worth the read.

First, the family dynamic. Charlie: I already love him and I absolutely believe has borne the brunt of not only being the junior, but also, looking like his namesame! To me, that is the only explanation for her treatment of her son. To make him somehow pick up where his father, her husband, left off. Also, in a way, blaming him for looking like the man that deserted his family. She's been grossly unfair to him for something he couldn't help, and didn't do. It's like she's completely forgotten that he was a kid, too. And her favoritism towards Jared inversely, is because he reminds her of her father. This woman is a little confused. She didn't do the fool any favors as far as life is concerned. It's made him irresponsible and useless. And she's helped to create an unnecessary situation between the boys. The kicker is that he has no allegiance to her for any of it. He said if it were him, he would have left them all high and dry as soon as he was able. Their mother has no use for any of them, except for his sorry ass, and this is how he feels? Some gratitude.

Jared: He make me want to smack the snot out of him! Pretending like he doesn't realize what the hell happened in his family. Talking that stupid mess about Charlie "liking cooking and cleaning" and "choosing" to help his family, denying himself a life of his own, and what a fool he was for doing so. And laughing at him for it. It was a labor of love. Selfish prick! Thank goodness Charlie did, or his ass would have been in foster care, or jail! Maybe he should have been talking more to his mother, in front of Charlie, about how Charlie wasn't his father, so therefore, he couldn't tell him what to do. Reinforce it to their mother that he was not her husband and see what that would have gotten all three of them. And while they're at it, ask her to explain why she has ignored her youngest two sons, thereby, making them Charlie's complete responsibility. So all this animosity from him towards Charlie and baiting him, while witnessing all the responsibility that was heaped onto him over the years, makes no sense at all. He's only tried to help.

As far as I'm concerned, as soon as the twins hit eighteen and college, Charlie should make tracks! Go build his own life. Have a place for the twins to come home to, since its never been with their mother anyway, and leave Valerie to her precious baby Jared. She makes enough I'm sure, to just give him if she wants. While Charlie is still there, he can pull this crap. I mean, the fool is over there for his cooking and talking s**t while doing so. What nerve! Charlie should have squeezed until his eyes popped out! Isn't he all grown and living with a woman, and he's over there for food? For all his talk, I think he might be afraid of Charlie. Look at how he got bitch-slapped and didn't retaliate whatsoever. Charlie could taunt him about being a momma's boy, and having her fight his battles, but he doesn't. Ughh!!

Inga: I hope she's serious, and not seeing this as some kind of game/challenge about getting to the virgin hunk first just because. It could mean something in the end and Charlie isn't used to games like that.
