This story made me cry, laugh, yell at Val and Henry! Ugh. I get frustrated with the way they half speak to one another. It makes for excellent reading though. Always on the cusp. Hanging on the edge of your seat. I can feel the story nearing its end and hope you'll update soon. It brought up alloottt of my own issues. Sheesh. Anyway I'm excited to see where you take this. Val needs to fess up to that eating disorder too!

I hope everything is okay with you Notheruniverse! I desperately need this story to come back! I love Val and Henry's journey. It's such a beautiful testament to how many people sabotage the good in their lives due to their insecurities. Then to top it off, your writing style is amazing! It's been years but I'm hoping you will come back and give us the ending we deserve. Honestly, they don't even have to get together in the end, I just want their ending. This is hands down my favorite story on this site!!

I, too, loved the growth of Valerie as noted in the line stating that low self-esteem can lead to being self centered. I also believe that changing the last chapter and/direction to please your critics is not a habit to get into. Stay true to you and your vision.

Loved the line in the original update about how low self-esteem can sometimes lead to one being self-centered. So absolutely true, and such a profound recognition. Definitely not exhibited in the traditional sense, but it's very present. 

Also, MAJOR kudos for the O-Town inclusion. 

Interested in where you go with the revamp.

Dag, I figured it was another update (I know, I'm greedy ... but when it's good ...).  Anyway, I still stand by my previous comment.  I'm proud of Valerie, and how far she has come.  It was a long jorney, but she overcame to hardest hurdle which was to admit that she has problems.  I jusy hope that she can overcome those, as weil as the issues that remain with her parents (she needs to tell them what George did to her).  I agree with Henry that she needs to spread her wings and leave the nest with respect to working for her father.  I also wonder if she'll ever be able to comfront George about what he did to her and how much of an impact it had on her life.  Maybe it will help in getting some closure there.  Having Henry's support will be very helpful, I'm sure.

I also hope that that Henry's brother will come around as well.  Any who ... looking forward to what you have for the rewrite, and what remains of this journey (though, I hate to see it end ... I loved this story ... most definitely one of my fav's <3)
