Either way, he still shouldn't have brought that damn girl around. And she kissed him, all conversation should have been over right then.

Thank goodness that she has finally gotten the picture and will leave that married man alone. You were the mistress from the start, estranged or not. He was still a married man. Get mad at yourself. You knew what it was before Charlie came back.

I truly don't like Vanessa, how can you even suggest that he leaves and takes a damn trip with you while his son is still in the hospital recovering from cancer? What type of sense does that make. And you don't even attempt to make it seem like you want him to bring his sons with him. Don't you understand that he comes as a packaged deal? Him and his sons, not just him. 

Awww come on. I thought we were getting somewhere. No yo ucan't ask for a damn divorce because you are going to work things out. You got to the root of the problem. Now move past it and dump Vanessa's ass. 

Dang... I think Vanessa is truly a fucked up person. I  hope he ends things with her and works them out with Charlie. It's still his wife afterall. I don't think he needs to add divorce proceedings to his long list of stress. He should let her look at the books. He said it himself, she's good with numbers. 

Alec is on a rollercoaster of emotions.   He needed someone to blame and bash.  Poor Sean, after finding out the reason why he didn't contact Charlie's family, my heart went to him.  I don't know about Alec's decision to terminate Charlie's working relationship with Sean. That income will be needed to get Olly in the school he wants to attend.  The flexiblity of the job would help if he got sick again.Alec better rethink that decision. I hear Ramen Noodles aren't as cheap as they use to be. 

That girl is a fucking mess. Why is she acting like that. Let's just forget that his son is in the hospital. How rude! Did she really say that his son's look at her like a mother??? I would have slapped her. Why does she want to meet Charlie? I feel like it's to rub in her face that she's been dating him. Either way, Alec needs to cut this damn chick loose. She is a fucking waste of space and time. I can't believe what this girl is baggering him about. Let me not ask about your son's well being let me ask about my place in your life. 

Interesting. This Vanessa is thinking about him getting a divorce while his oldest son is laying up in the hospital bed on the brink of death. That just doesn't sit well with me. Regardless of their relationship, they have a son that they need to tend to right now. Their personal affairs can fucking wait. I think that is so insensitive and downright rude. 

So, Charlie is being passive-agressive since the talk between Sean and Alec? Please. Alec was right in his opinion, but I believe some of his anger is really because of what Charlie did, but he doesn't want to unload on her, so he does it to Sean.

I can definitely see why he's so pissed, she relied on another person for help when it should've been Alec. That's on Charlie. Alec is correct to remind Sean that "Lottie" is not his daughter. Yeah, I was ticked at the nick name. That speaks to an intimacy that while not sexual, it is emotional and Alec is not comfortable with that and considering the situation, I can understand.

It was good that she could count on Sean, but damn, I think it went a bit too far. Her kids were without her for 3 f'in' years. And poor Jamie doesn't even remember her.

I do wonder, did Sean know that Ols was sick? Would Sean have ever let Alec know where Charlie was? Charlie was supposedly all better when Ols sent the letter, so the question is, would Charlie have ever come back if but for Ols? I'm starting to give Charlie the side-eye again. She wants to continue to beat herself up to have Alec continually reassure her, yet she doesn't seem to understand and I mean TRULY understand what this has done to Alec and the boys.

I'm willling to give Alec a bit of slack. He's allowed to lose it every once and awhile. He's the one who had to maintain the family for 3 years not knowing if his heart and the mother of his children would ever return. He's responding better than I would.

I think Alec was an ass about the entire situation but Charlie is a grown women after she got better she could have went back but she didn't, he shouldn't place most of the blame on Sean. I think he is looking for someone to voice his anger at besides Charlie, if Sean wouldn't have helped at all there is no telling what would have happened to her so he definitely could have handled it better.

I feel so much empathy for Sean, he was just trying to save Charlie's life. I do think Alec's concerns were valid, but he put most of the blame on Sean and not Charlie. Charlie is the one he's married to. Girl, I was seeing red when Sean said " He's your husband and I firmly believe a woman should listen to her husband when he puts his foot down. The old ways are the good ways." PUT HIS FOOT DOWN!! OH HELL NO!. Thanks K for this wonderful update.

Charlie irks me. while Charlie acknowledges that Alec has a right to his anger she feels like her debt to her family will never be paid.  Charlie you made your bed and now you must lay in it. The choices that you made cost you time with your family, Jaime has not memory of you becasue you ran away instead of the talking to Alec about your illness. Sean could eased Alec fears by telling that you were alright yet he didn't. Get over yourself Charlie and truly think about what yur decisions cost your husband and children.  You owe them your undivided attention and the chance to learn to trust in your love.
