so tired of Vanessa:

Charlie was cool. She handled  the situation just right. I know it made her  angry when she realized she was calling Alec about his son and he's with his ex. I mean how much closure does Vanessa need? Is she special or something? Did she ride on the short bus in school?  Vanessa were with a married man, who after two and half years with you didn't seek a divorce.  Get over him and move on. Vanessa knows she should have called an uber and went home. What is Alec doing?  I just want to know how many bus stops they passed on the way to the hospital that he could have dropped at. Charlie has  to put him or Vanessa in check.  Her child is too ill for that  high school drama. Sometimes when a person (Vanessa) begs for it, you got to go on to the  cabinet and dust off  a can of whup ass.

This one called for box two of the Kleenex...Lord I don't understand how Charlie ever saw herself as weak when she is able to even say hello to Vanessa and offer to get her a drink.  I wouldn't have offered but would have more than willingly planted by size 11 so far up her arse she'd have coughed up toes.  Really who the bloody hell does she think she is.  Charlie has the ring, the license the kids and Alec's balls apparently.  What a wimp, clearing the air.  He should have had the guts and the sense to drop the lowlife bitch at the nearest tube station in route to the hospital.  She didn't have to walk in with him.  It was definitely a play, one HE let her make.  If he says he wants Charlie, pissed off and hurt or not, he should respect her position as his wife.  Never undermine your mate if you want your home to last. 

The shear angst of seeing the life ebb from your child, while your husband can't seem to make up his mind if he really can accept you back into his heart.  Lord I do not know how the woman is holding together.  Waiting by the wi-fi for the next chapter.  Whooray for K (Carr)

Just when I think this can't get better, you post this chapter. Brilliant.

Vanessa... When Alec says it's nothing, I believe him. He's done nothing so far to indicate that he's a liar. But Vanessa, WTH. Alec has been clear with this trick and yet she still felt the need to "clear the air". Welllll, since the air has been cleared, there should be no reason for her thirsty ass to show her piehole anywhere near Alec and his family.

Her offer to stay at the hospital indicates to me that she continues to think that she has a place in his life. Nah, he has a WIFE who can comfort him. You are dismissed. Girl, get some pride and walk away. You're like one of those hound dogs hanging around the back door hoping for some scraps to be tossed out. GO AWAY.

I so love little Jamie. He will accept Charlie as his mother as she continues to ACT like she's his mother and not the person to give him everything he WANTS, but what he NEEDS.  He tickled me with the "mallow". He is adorable. I feel so bad for him.

Wow ... that was pretty intense.  😩  I hope Olly will be ok. As a parent myself, I can't even imagine. One thing that wouldn't sit well with me is Alec turning his phone off to have a private moment with his ex. Why turn the phone off ** giving the side eye** ?!?! 🤔

That Vanessa is a stank heffa...she is trying to reunite with Alec...Charlie is right to give that woman the side-eye...it was good to see Jamie accepting Charlie as his mom...I liked the approach she took with disciplining Jamie...she is making strides with him...the possibility of losing a child is becoming quite real for this couple...such a sad chapter...well done...looking forward to more...

Girl... you are a blessing Mrs. Carr. Your talent is beyond measure and your way with words are BRILLIANT!!. This chapter pulled on my heartstrings and I put myself in Alec and Charlie's place and I know I wouldn't be as strong as they are. Girl I just loved little Jamie temper tantrum and the way Charlie handle it, girl you know kids will try you but you have to stand your ground with them and Charlie was AWESOME!!. I also loved the way Charlie handle the Vanessa situation. What is really going on with Alec and Vanessa, because Vanessa is still acting like she's part of Alec's life. I know Alec said that there was nothing going on, but I'm still side-eyeing that situation. I hope little Olly be okay and that little Jamie gets so peace, that little boy is going through somethings. Thanks for this update K.

Thanks for the update! This is a great story so far. I like how Alec and Charlie are gradually coming back together and relearning each other all over again, it's realistic in the way you are writing it and that is what's making this an amazing story.

Charlie's talent with numbers keep coming up.  I wonder  if she can  work her numbers and make this  three dollars and thirty seven cents I have turn into  some thousands.  Good chapter, enjoyed it so much.  Alec better let her make some  money to put  with that  change he's earning at the restaurant  or else he won't have to worry about who's gonna turn the  bedside light out, because they won't have any electricity.

I feel the need to reiterate that Jamie doesn't know Charlie, she took off before he got the chance to know her as mommy.   Charlie has a lot to prove, since she took that runner. The sex was hot and funny,  they still fit. Family counseling would help repair this family.

Good story...I'm giving Charlie the side-eye as Alec's argument about her working for Sean was valid...but Alec's a good man to compromise...Charlie has to deal with the fallout of leaving Jamie when he was too young to really remember her...actions have consequences and she can't escape the consequences of leaving her young son without his mother for 3 years...she just has to take time to fix the wrong she committed against her son...
