Story Notes:

Hi,

My So Called Ghetto Life is an audio novella that I'm recording on my smart  phone and uploading on my Youtube Channel.  Definately check it out and subscribe.  The channel also offers free writing tips and other audiobooks.

Thanks for the support,

Once upon a time in a ghetto on the other side of City Hall, there lived a beautiful single mother of two__

Okay! Stop! Stop! That is not going to be the story of my life.

     Nope! No! No! No!

Let's skip the struggle love. We're going to bypass the lectures on prophylactics, birth control pills, and condoms.

And, I'm not even going to entertain the idea of abortion. We're not going to do that. I'm not here to debate when life truly begins.

For all those who are interested, I'm jumping over the sad tale of falling in love with a man who didn't value me enough to even 'put a ring on it.'

Or girl! Didn't your mamma teach you about keeping them legs closed.

     Blah. Blah. Bah.

That is not this tale. I've been there, done that! I know I can't change the past, but I can damn well learn from it.

And that's where this tale begins.... For those of you who insist on being judgmental, let me politely set the record straight! 'cause I know what you're thinking.

When is Miss Fertile, Myrtle going to have baby number three? It's been over three years and she hasn't popped out a child yet? I know she's not slowing down! Can't be!

Well, the truth of this long ordeal is: Yes, the hell I am! After my live-in boyfriend/ baby daddy left me for a woman with no kids, the bells of logic starting ringing in my ears.

And I mean, they were clanging loud. My eardrums should be defunct by now.

I realized, it's time to stop going down this path of heartach, and disappointment.

It's time to reevaluate what I consider love. It's time to use ghetto sense, and get my life together.

I have two beautiful brown babies to raise, and I betta get to steppin' or mov'in or whatever the hell I need to do to survive my so called life.

So here I am, applying for a job I know I won't get. But, hell this is America, right! Nothing bets failure, but a try—
