Coming home can be harder than staying away sometimes.

Home has now been published on Amazon and there's quite a bit more added from where I had originally ended this story. Hope you all enjoy it.

Title: Chapter 14: Chapter 14

Loving this story, even though the realness of it brings me to tears sometimes, especially since it involves a child.

Depression is a hard disease to understand, and it makes the sufferers do some crazy, irrational things, so I am trying to understand where Charlie is coming from, but as a mother is is hard to grasp leaving your kids for 3 years.

Vanessa is so irritating; not sure why she keeps popping up; some folks just can't take a hint, can they...

I love all your work, and this story is no exception; keep up the great work!

p.s. I'm a Man Utd fan myself; is it petty that I was secretly glad they lost their Arsenal season tickets:)

Author's Response:

Hi Amiefuzzy,

This was a great review and I appreciate your outlook on Charlie even though her behaviour is something you couldn't do. As a mother, it's hard even contemplating it to be honest.

Now...I need to address this admission of yours. A Utd fan? Why? Why have you joined the dark side of the force? Or is it a family tradition that has been passed down over the years to side with Ferguson's Red Army...ha ha, well now it's Mourinho's Red Army. All I can say is that: Yes, yes it is petty of you to take joy from the losing of their Arsenal season tickets AND as I say to the two traitorous Utd supporters in my family, I shall say to you- this season will be Arsenal's. You may have taken our FA Cup in May, but we're coming back for it this new season. All silverware will be ours...did that come out as a crazed Gunner's fan rant? If it did, apologies  :)

Title: Chapter 20: Chapter 20

I really love this story, as I do everything you write...I won't even hold it against you that you are an Arsenal fan:)

I am actually warming up to Charlie; while I still do not fully understand her (depression is a scary thing), I can see that she does love her family and is trying.  She makes me want to wring her neck sometimes with the decisions she makes, but in her own mind she is doing what is best for her family, so I guess I can't judge her too harshly.  I actually cringed when Olly overheard their agrument in the car; I hate it that he feels he has to choose sides.

I am glad they got to the root of the problem and seem to have hashed out what the underlying problem was.  Hopefully it's all up from here!

Thank-you for taking the time to provide us with another masterpeice!  You rock!

Title: Chapter 21: Chapter 21

What a beautiful end to a lovely tale!  I love that they got their happy ending and that Olls is well on his way to recovery.  Charlie and Alec are so cute together; wasn't sure they would make it at one point, but that was all part of their incredible journey.

Thank-you for sharing another amazing tale and I look forward to reading more of your work.

p.s. I need to stop procrastinating and get my copy of LD 2:)

Author's Response:

Hi Amiefuzzy,

I know you mentioned before you're a Utd fan....tsk, tsk, I can't...I'm going to leave it alone. Ha ha. Thanks so much for your continued support and I'm glad you enjoyed this story.

Title: Chapter 7: Hot Soup

I am really enjoying this story, as I do all your stories!  Poor Sugar has really been through it, and when someone betrays your trust it's hard to let go and trust again.  Thank goodness for Chef; I like it that he is a real man that knows what he wants and will not give up until he gets it!

Love the way he handled Lance...he totally deserved that treatment lol.

Will say a prayer for you about your school situation; there are always those that wanna try your faith and act the fool.  Chick really needs to get a life...smh.

Author's Response:

I had a good laugh when I wrote the phone conversation between Chef and Lance.

Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts!
