Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 - Cougars
I don't see why Nat is so sad. She told Ant. to leave--he left. She now needs to meet Richard face to face, accept his apology and then tell him to get lost--do not entertain this silly old man.
Nat is a grown woman and after what she has gone through, she would be foolish to settle for someone she's not feeling (hint: Doc); it would be a waste of his and her time and time waits for no one.
If she can have a baby, then get thee to the nearest fertility clinic--secretly, I wish she would have Ant's baby. I don't see a problem with them being together and the family's awkwardness will pass--not like they are 1st cousins or hiding a body in the basement.
Ant. will show he has grown when he realizes why Nat was so hurt and Nat when she accepts his apology. Fingers crossed on a HEA for these two--together.
Author's Response: Hey, Penelope! Nat ended things because she felt she had to--for Anthony's benefit and for her own. And she's sad because she cared. Her only reason for meeting with Richard was to prevent a father-son confrontation. Now that Ant and Nat are no longer together, there's no need to meet with Richard, not to say the two won't share some face-time for other reasons.
As far as her settling for someone she's not feeling, she hasn't had a chance to establish whether she's feeling the good doctor. She was pregnant and already developing feelings for Anthony when they met and, therefore, didn't give Jamison much consideration. We'll see if that changes now that she's available.
I'm sure Nat woud prefer to have Anthony's baby too, but that option just exited left. And I doubt she'll be making any trips to the fertility clinic. Some women won't have a child without a father who's present, some will. Natalia is a won't.
You might want to send up a few prayers with those crossed fingers. These two have a long, winding way to go.
Thanks for reading and reviewing, Penelope!
