Title: Chapter 14: More Than You Can Chew - Pt.2

Ok, this is my first comment on this story. It's not a review b/c frankly, I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about any of these characters. Regardless, they are intriguing and this type of story is very new for me.

I'm writing b/c I figure this chapter is going to push some people out of your fandom and beseige you with horrible private messages and rant that may discourage you again. Please don't let that happen. I really hope you see this story to the end.

Even I can admit that I have no idea how I will feel about this when you're done. Who knows? Maybe I will love it. Or I may not enjoy it when it's done. But if so, it's my issue not yours and I will never complain or bemoan.

I'm not offended by anything but I feel very challenged by this tale and really want you to continue.

You write it, I (among others) will read.

The next time you start to doubt yourself, please remember Vladimir Nabokov''s ''Lolita''. That was and is a controversial book but yet is regarded as *classic literature* and is on several...let me say this again, SEVERAL lists for being one of the best books of the 20th century!

This story is fiction and your right to free speech that does not spread hate.

But better yet, this story is realistic with its flawed characters in a way that siezes many of us b/c we see aspects of ourselves here.

Title: Chapter 6: 5. Lessons

Sex is always nice but your writing is superior when we glimpse Bear's thoughts and become perplexed over his initial internal struggle. That's where you really rope me in and *then* I'm dying for him to get somethin' somethin'!

If you do choose to write about them again, I wonder how and where it will go--ain't no way she's living in his racist town. And yet, I don't see Bear in the city. But then again, we know so little about him so maybe he could live in her world.

Or better yet--they both move to his cousin, Deputy Halpern's, district.

Title: Chapter 5: A Family Thing

Hm...this is all very interesting- in the case of character and background development and how it becomes entwined with Intellectual Titmouse's story. Both of you must have discussed the necessary psychology of pitting lovers from such different worlds. In these situations, race appears to be less of a hinderance than lifestyle and place of residence.

Curious to see how it works out.

There's a very elaborate backstory about three brothers in the South that only makes sense in our little over taxed imaginations. Only time will tell.

This story and Valerie's pain hits a bit too close for comfort. If this story does not stem from some personal place, you've got to be THE best writer ever. Regardless, it is brutal and beautiful; pulling out of one, a strong yearning for Valerie to find peace of soul and true love.

Have you ever heard or seen the British show My Mad Fat Diary? It's a wonderful companion to this story.
