As the friendship blossomed, they both realized they'd fallen in love with each other. They were just two chickenshit to admit it because of the differences in their races and his families outdated ideas about black people. HER parents were afraid of their daughter getting hurt if Dominic decided to bow to the pressure of his families disdain for Lia.

Mimi and the Mariani's are close. She's a member of the family in their eyes. I think that they're afraid that there'd be judgement about the relationship, especially because (in their minds) the relationship is purely sexual. There will only be tidbits of their story in this one, setting the stage for a story that focuses solely on the progression of their relationship. I actually can't wait to write their story. :-)

Things seem great at first glance but Below The Surface is where monsters lie and sociopaths dwell.
So who's doing this??? I know the whole Uncle asger and Denise storyline is a trip!!! I have a feeling something might happen between those two. I know he's a priest, but I just feel he may slip a little where she's concerned...haha. Loved the secret wedding idea, great update!!
