Sequel to "Love, God & Ultimatums"
I loved this chapter (but I love them all)...still I didn't like my first review so here I am again...Puppies!!!...what a way to win a girl's heart...at least mine...though Bullies are related to pit bulls not Boxers...Bullies are short and stout...Boxers are much taller and lean...both breeds are beautiful but two different breeds with totally different looks (the veterinarian in me couildn't resist clarifying, no offense intended)...puppies give such unconditional love, which I think will be needed for our couple in the coming days dealing with the certifiable De La Royas...Brandon's feelings about Mannie are understandable because of William's meddling, but he need not worry because Diya is all his...even Marisol is not a problem since she clearly knows from Brandon that Diya is his life...can't wait for Diya to meet Big Whoa...I was so hoping a meeting between them would happen, and I'm so looking forward to that chapter...and Branny's new tatt I imagine will be really sexy...maybe it will be something that relates to his love for Diya...so looking forward to more...you have prepared me for a lot of excitement to come...I love the pace at which you built Brandon and Diya's relationship...they took time to really know each other before becoming intimate and we got to enjoy seeing them fall in love...that's romance...and to me, you write it brilliantly...you managed to get me deeply invested in your story and characters...your storyline feels realistic and believable...your characters are not perfect which makes them relatable and quite likeable...I'm stoked and can't wait to continue the journey with you...I am always amazed by you, Ms. Jax...thank you for continuing to bless us...may you continue to be blessed...

I'm really glad you like the pace of Brandon and Diya's romance. As a writer and a reader, I'm not a fan of love at first f*ck or microwave relationships. I love watching two characters fall for one another (rather than being TOLD they are) and try to create that in my stories. Brandon at the De La Roys for Sunday dinner will be a hoot...I dislike them all except Chandi (strangely enough)...she is just a stank heffa out to make Diya suffer because she gets enjoyment out of it but she is still different from the rest of the family in a good way...she knows of Brandon and has not shunned Diya in spite of that knowledge...Amali sucks...what a beotch...but family does not guarantee that you'll get along or always like a person...I'm just glad that Diya found the heart and bravery to tell them the truth that she is in love with Brandon...she has no reason to be ashamed of her relationship and letting the cat out of the bag, I think, will only strengthen their relationship, in spite of Diya's fears...Brandon is tougher than Diya gives credit to deal with her family as long as she is with him and doesn't hide him...the fun will be in watching them deal with the antics that will ensue...I can only imagine the craziness and how funny it will be, especially with your genius flair for the comedic...thank you for the 2 chapter update...may you continue to be blessed...and just know this story is so my favorite...I am so happy you updated and it's been less than a month to boot...you are bomb!!!

I had to read this chapter multiple times to ingest it all...the connection between Diya and Brandon I felt to my core, which speaks to the brilliance with which you were able to convey the feelings and emotions between them...got me so in the feels...clearly you again show the amazing link between sex and love...you returned from hiatus with a vengeance...I truly LOLed at Camilla's antics towards Mal...and I wanted to shank Marisol for her sense of entitlement towards Brandon...Marisol and her horde and Diya's family will be major obstacles for our couple but I am so looking forward to the ride...I'm so happy for your return...may you be richly blessed...

You are so right. Brandon's and Diya's relationships with their nuclear and extended families will pose a number issue in their relationship. And the drama doesn't end there. More on that in coming chapters.

Reviewer: jahchannah Signed Wow...I admire Diya being so unselfish in the midst of Marisol’s conniving to be with Brandon...I think she should trust Brandon as he is not as unaware of Marisol’s manipulation as maybe Diya thinks...but Brandon has to make Diya his choice above all else...if he can’t Diya has to let him go anyway...and Diya May be faced with a similar dilemma of choice after Bran meets her family...so brilliantly written as always...you are my favorite romance author...such talent...

I’m so happy to see another update and so soon, thank you for gifting us with your talent...Bran handled himself beautifully with Diya’s family and she needs to stock up on the fucks she no longer gives about her family accepting Brandon when her parents confront her and Brandon with what I guess could be something about his family...I don’t like her family because they talk at Diya rather than to her and with her...I just hope she and Brandon survive the onslaught that is coming...so excited for more...
You're are absolutely right. Diya is the baby and treated that way. It sort of worked before she met Brandon. Now, she's his woman, and not to be f*cked with. Unfortunately, it seemes that's precisely what Williams has planned, as you will soon see. Thanks, jahchannah!!!
Reviewer: jahchannah Signed That was painful...and I just sound redundant but you, my sista, are a master storyteller...I was cringing in agony for Diya and Brandon as I witnessed the vitriolic verbal assault our couple endured by William’s tongue...her family’s love is heavily misguided in addition to conditional...but until Brandon their ugly love is all she has known...i really feel sad for her...she allowed true love to walk away without a fight for him...but Brandon has no idea of Diya’s Marisol centered insecurities...learning he was stabbed defending Marisol fed that insecurity so heavily and I think fueled her inaction to walk away from her family with him...horrible love is better than no love...I wonder that Diya failed to forsake all others for Brandon because she’s not 100% sure he has forsaken all others for her...all their I love yous yet they still failed to clarify where they truly stood with each other...well that’s how I see it...you got me writing a dissertation that’s how much I love this story...

There's a deep-seated reason as to why Brandon caters to Marisol, and why his love for Diya, while sincere, might not be enough to keep these two together. Reviewer: jahchannah Signed I’m torn with this chapter...I hurt for Diya...she loves Brandon truly but her trust in him is shattered...he could/should have told her about Marisol...but as Brandon begins to feel true love, he is seeing what he felt for Marisol ain’t...Marisol has never belonged to Brandon is quite clear...she likes his attention but doesn’t truly want him...just a nice fallback...until Diya...Brandon never faced the truth of Marisol’s toxicity...his love for Diya makes him face it...such a hard truth but can he cut out the poison...when you’ve been fed poison for so long the withdrawal is quite painful...Marisol, Rafe have Bran co-dependent...they are unhealthy friendships...Rafe knows Marisol is using Bran otherwise he wouldn’t have been so kind to Diya some chapters back after the Tyler confrontation...but with Bran’s toxic family (grandfather, father, brother) he struggles to find acceptance...Diya gives him something he has never had and he doesn’t quite know how to live it...he’s trying...a lot more bumps and trials but I hope he figures it out soon...you, author, are cruel but I know there is a long term payout coming eventually...right???

I concur. The truth is most definitely in between. Unfortunately, Brandon's and Diya's baggage make it difficult to see the other's perspective. And it will take A LOT to change that.
Carter and Tamryn are on the short list for completion at all cost. I haven't given up on them, and thank you so much for not giving up on me.

Reviewer: jahchannah Signed Wow...you really went there...a difficult read for sure but definitely a reality considering the history of the perpetrators...though I read one part of this several times, because it seems Tyler actually stopped Hollis...did he hear Gary and Katherine's car pulling into the yard?...I hate it but it is definitely not Brandon's fault his brother and grandfather are demented...I so appreciated Gary's response but poor, sweet Diya...she will never be the same...but now Diya needs saving/fixing beyond any need Marisol has...will this be impetus for Brandon to truly give Diya his all and, if so, will it be too little to late...I am losing hope for my favorite couple but I will keep reading this tragic tale to its end because I love your brilliant work...you are not afraid to make your characters lives difficult...such tragedy can forge true growth or completely shatter a life...we will see how Diya copes...be safe during this difficult time...this update is especially appreciated...may you continue to be blessed...
jahchannah, your eye for detail never fails you. Tyler did stop Hollis; the reason, or rather, what it reveals, is a doozy. More on that, and whether Diya and Brandon are past the point of being able to weather this or any storm to come.

Katherine's reputation for indiscriminate honestly when it comes to Brandon is well-earned. This incident may be no exception. If so, there will be major fallout for everyone involved and, perhaps, too much destruction for Diya and Brandon's relationship to survive.

She didn't know it but she was my light that pulled at the vessel beating beneath my rib cage. She made me question life, before her nothing matter, but now I would do anything within my power to be with the woman that gave me a reason to live.

She was sent to die in order to keep the treaty of her people, her family from her same fate but Kora's intuition was soon brought to light of her true calling ... that involved her complete submission over her body. What awaited her was neither man or beast but both and he wanted to consume her whole with a fire that burned deep.
Veles lived and breathed war.As a warrior of Drakon clan, battle was his only outlet, fighting with his brothers and taken the glory for all was the creed he lived by.When given the oppurtunity to take a slave for the sake of her village he agreed but what he didn't realize was the war it create to keep her.

Reviewer: jahchannah Signed Kora is feisty! It's good but he was actually being kind to her before the slap. She's kind of at his mercy. She was trying his patience not patients since patients are people. And you made a mistake so common for writers in that you used there when they're (as in they are) would be correct. I don't know why that mistake is so common but I think these auto-correct features are to blame. Good story...I am glad Kora is keeping her dignity in such a frightful situation. I hope we get to learn more about Veles.
