Whoa! This chapter right here gurl. This was a lot for my heart but I must commend you on your writing this chapter. It deals with so many heavy subjects but you did an amazing job with the scenes as they played out. The details and the way you painted the scene with gramps and Tyler along with Katherine and Gary were so well done that it was like watching a movie. I wonder how this will play out with Brandon now or even Diya's family if they find out about the assault. Can't wait for the next update.

Wow...you really went there...a difficult read for sure but definitely a reality considering the history of the perpetrators...though I read one part of this several times, because it seems Tyler actually stopped Hollis...did he hear Gary and Katherine's car pulling into the yard?...I hate it but it is definitely not Brandon's fault his brother and grandfather are demented...I so appreciated Gary's response but poor, sweet Diya...she will never be the same...but now Diya needs saving/fixing beyond any need Marisol has...will this be impetus for Brandon to truly give Diya his all and, if so, will it be too little to late...I am losing hope for my favorite couple but I will keep reading this tragic tale to its end because I love your brilliant work...you are not afraid to make your characters lives difficult...such tragedy can forge true growth or completely shatter a life...we will see how Diya copes...be safe during this difficult time...this update is especially appreciated...may you continue to be blessed...

Wow. This chapter just broke me... I cannot imagine how Diya felt in that moment.
Diya ... I wish you never went to meet up with that prick. I wishhhh you listened to the alarms going off about his sleazy ass, BUT! YOU DID NOT DESERVE ANY OF THAT AT ALL!
I was literally pausing every time the rapist grandpa would talk- I knew that they were both disgusting vile maggots.

You know I'm 100% here for Brandon and Diya ending up together, but I really really really want them to air everything out with no filter. Not only to each other, but also to their families. Look at what's happened! Wahhh I can't imagine how traumatic this will be for her and I swear if she isn't supported, then she needs to run and I will support her.
I just believe that Brandon loves her soooo much and vice versa- that he will do whatever it is necessary to retain it. if he doesn't realise it- it by being Mari-whore- then I will gladly back up Diya if she runs. Brandon, Brandon, Brandon...I can't. Brandon has been real out of pocket these last few chapters. I feel like it's time for them to split and grow on their own. Like I feel like everyone is doin my gurl Diya wrong and not listening to her. Brandon's mom and Rafe are telling her to be careful with Brandon's heart and Rafe acts like she is suppose to be Brandon's fixer but he's a grown man who I feel like is consumed with his feeling about his past and marisol's needs. And he doesn't really see Diya's. Like he keeps bringing up her family and I'm like but she is with you though brah she choose you like would he truely do the same? They need time apart because Diya is going to have to figure out if she can be with Brandon when he's Marisol's "fixer" because until he really take a look at his relationship with Marisol from the outside he will continue to want to be the one to fix things for her. It kills me that no one in his family see how he doesn't give his all to Diya but expects her to that for him. He opens up then falls back to doing the bare minimum with regards to Diya. He needs to stop this running from his problems mess that he does. Great chapter as always I'm obviously in my feels over Brand and Di.

Wonderful insight, jetzero. Katherine and Rafe are blinded by loyalty and fear; and, to be honest, so is Brandon. He's hung up on his friendship with Marisol and Diya staying behind the night of the family dinner disaster, but doesn't seem to recognize that Diya's refusal to side with her family is her chosing him, at least as far as the De la Roys are concerned. He sees them as an ongoing threat to ther relationship, just as Diya sees Marisol.
It's a mess, and destined to get messier.

I was pleased to see Diya voice her feelings on this situation, but was also equally please to hear more from Brandon. He's very passionate, but a man of very few words, so it was nice to hear more from him and how he's feeling. Don't get me wrong, I'm still in my feelings on how he's doing my girl Diya dirty, but at the same time, it sounds as if he has a lot of his own ish to deal with. Brandon is dealing with ALOT and not accustom to complete candor and balancing a romantic relationship with the one he has with Marisol. And Diya has no idea what she's getting herself into with Tyler. So you know it's about to get super messy.

Sorry Brandon, but sometimes you have to know when to hold them and know when to fold them. It is time to fold them. You are not goig to shut Marisol out, because you still feel something for her and like that she looks to you as her hero to the rescue.
Diya needs to stop hiding, go ahead and see Tyler the snake; her way of saying she love Brandon, but he needs to hear the words. She can tell her Dad that she loves Brandon and to butt out. Her next stop should be to sign up for intense family therapy.
These two are meant for one another, but the drama...went from a shower together to digging in the laundry basket for a clean shirt. Diya was wrong, Brandon was wrong...fold 'em.

This chapter was just heartbreaking. They're both sooooo hurt and they need to sit down and face reality together. Di needs to see that her family is affecting Brandon the way Madison- oops I meant mariwhore affects her. I CANNOT STAND his friendship with that trick and will never agree with it. In this case regarding Marihoe, I fully stand by Diya but I wish she would fight her arguments a little harder! Tell him EXACTLY what it is that you're fighting and shut him down because he ain't right when it comes to his so called friend.
I know he loves Diya like beyond belief but she's not seeing it because of these his deep relationship with another woman that he seems to play off as purely platonic. I hope Diya also shuts down her family and proves them wrong with him.
They really really need to talk properly. Actually let it ALL out and I really want Diya to be the one to talk. She needs to stop only making jabs when necessary. She has a hold over him and he knows he would move mountains for her... they need to LET IT OUT.
Please open his eyes up. I hope he realises how he can't live without her but how close she is to slipping. He needs to face her properly. Tell her everything and fight it out. But he just keeps proving her right with this whole MARRRR situation ๐คฎ๐คฎ

These two have so much pride and trust issues out side of everyone else being in their relationship. Lord....Brandon, I hope he sees Marisol for who she is soon enough. Diya has failed just as much as Brandon. Diya choice her father and family over Brandon when they went to diner. When they were at the birthday party he told her he was sorry he ever made her question herself and his love for her, but was she sorry. She didn’t have an answer because she didn’t know what she was supposed to be sorry for. Again Diya states her family doesn’t have any respect for the relationship and Brandon states neither do you. Brandon wants her trust and for her to believe in him and for her to know he will always choose her, but will she always choose him?
