Author's Chapter Notes:

Hi again! I've decided after several years away, to come back to this story and do my best to finish it.

As always, these characters don't belong to me. They are the intellectual property of Charlaine Harris and Alan Ball.

Unknown

Sookie blinked away hot tears that pooled in her eyes as she struggled to understand what was happening. She needed more information about why she was here and how she could get out. The two vampires had already mentioned Bill and Sophie Ann, which gave her an idea but she was feeling scared by the prospect that Bill had arranged this capture. There's got to be a reason for this. Bill loves me, right?', she thought.

Regaining some resolve to figure a way out of the place, Sookie struggled against the tape binding her arms and legs, but it was no use. She groaned as a new pain from wriggling in the tape began to assail her wrists and ankles.

Ceasing her frantic movements, she yelled. "Where the fuck am I?"

Lucien chuckled. "We can't tell you that, sweetheart. Let's just say you're somewhere safe...for now." he glanced at Azriel and added, "safety, however, is relative and I think your personal sense of safety has yet to be determined.".

Azriel who was still close to the crates leaned in closer to Sookie, her fangs still visible. "You smell amazing," she said, her voice low and husky. "I can't wait to find out when and if we are allowed to taste you."

Sookie recoiled in horror. "Please, just let me go. I don't know what I've done to be here but I know some important vampires who wouldn't want me hurt. They will kill you if you hurt me"

Lucien shook his head. "Sorry, but we can't do that. We've been asked to bring you to Bill and Sophie Ann, and we intend to do what they told us."

Sookie's heart sank. She knew that if she didn't find a way to escape, she could be in serious danger. "Why do they want me here? And what does Bill have to do with all of this?" she asked.

Lucien smirked. "We can't tell you that either. Let's just say they have a vested interest in you and whatever it is you do."

Sookie tried to remain calm, but her mind was racing. She had to find a way out of this situation before it was too late. She began to wriggle and twist, trying to test the limits of the tape biding her. She tried loosening the tape binding her.

Azriel rolled her eyes, sighing "You're wasting your time, sweetie. That tape isn't going to come off that easily. And even if you do get it off, how do you think you'll get past us?" She zipped around the room giggling until she came back to standing right back near where Sookie lay trembling.

Just as Azriel began to get a bit closer to Sookie, the door of the room they were in swung open.

" I need the room, you two" The voice bellowed.

Sookie stopped moving and her body tensed with recognition. She dared not move as the two vampires exited the room quietly whispering under their breath. She heard the clack of hard-bottomed shoes coming towards her until the voice spoke right near her face.

"My dearest, Sookie". He paused " I hate that this had to happen like this. "But in light of recent events, I'm not sure you would have been open to any conversation or civil invitation to meet with me about what I need from you now.

Tightening her jaw, Sookie closed her eyes hard and fresh tears confirmed her fears that Bill was indeed behind her capture. "Why?" she choked out in a near whisper.

"Sookie, you may have already figured out that you're not just any ordinary human. You're something more. Something different."

"So, what? I can read peoples' minds. There are other people in the damned world who can do that, too" she strained. Sookie looked at him warily. "Why am I the one being tied up?"

"You are a fairy, Sookie" she shouted.

"I'm a fairy?" she paused. "How fuckin lame" she spat. "I'd rather be nothing"

"Fairy is but one of the names" he continued.

"Well, what other names are there? How many other ways could there be to say I'm weird?" she added.

"Fenadrea, Elalon, The Old People…Aliens" he drew closer standing over her on the crates.

"Jesus fuckin' Christ" she sighed.

"You come from a long line of fairies," Bill continued. "You are only a fraction of that magic that runs in your blood. But it's magic nonetheless and it's what makes you so special" his hand rose temptingly to brush the stray hairs away from her face.

Sookie's eyes widened in surprise. "Fucking fairies? I had no idea."

"Well you wouldn't have known. I think your Gran wanted to keep it that way."

"What's so fucking special about right now that I had to be knocked unconscious and dragged to learn this information?" she continued staring now at the ceiling almost wishing she could faint or go back to sleep or wake up back in her nice warm bed.

Bill nodded. "It's not something I wanted to tell you until I was sure, but we've been keeping an eye on you for a while now. It's how I came to find you, Sookie" His speech was a bit hurried, Bill continued with his semi-rehearsed speech about her abilities. With the right training, you could become one of the most powerful fairies."

Sookie's mind was racing. She had always felt like she was different, but she never imagined it was because of her blood. "But why didn't anyone tell me before?" She looked at him, still awkwardly positioned on the crates. "Why did you leave town like you did? And What about Jessica and oh my god, Hoyt. Hoyt is dead, Bill" she started crying again.

"It was for your own protection" Bill gruffed. "What I have been doing all this time has been for you and the good of all, Sookie Stackhouse. Eric and Tara with all their medl…" he trailed off, regained his composure, and continued, "What the fae can do, their mere presence can be dangerous in the wrong hands. I wanted to make sure you were ready before revealing the truth to you. Because I still…" he trailed off again not wanting to spill these thoughts.

Sookie looked at him, a mixture of fear and excitement in her eyes. "What do I do now?

"First, we need to get you out of this room," Bill said firmly. "But once you're safe, we'll start your training. You have a lot to learn, Sookie. The learning curve is steep."

Bill used his vampiric strength to remove the tap from her arms and legs and helped Sookie to stand upright. Dropping fang instinctively, he tore away from her momentarily to make himself decent. His time away from Sookie had been grueling but needed, he knew he had gone too far and if this was to work, he needed to show some restraint.

"Bill" she started to ask him something but noticed he was embarrassed by his actions.

"Sookie I need to get you out of this room right now" I want to show you this place. He spoke over her, retracting his fangs and straightening his posture.

As they hurriedly exited the room, Sookie couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and anticipation. Sookie in awe of everything she had learned still seemed uneasy about this exchange, didn't understand why she had to be tied and watched and didn't understand truly why Bill had left town the way he did. None of these answers really felt like answers.

However, even after Tara and Eric's explanation all those months ago, she felt she couldn't fully believe the information until she had heard it from Bill himself. She continued to hold out hope that he'd come back to her but after what happened to Tara and recently to Hoyt, she just couldn't make sense of this without him. Now with this whole other element, she was back at square one.

She had always known there was more to her than met the eye, and now she finally had the chance to discover the full extent of herself and her faeness. Or so she thought.

Bill led Sookie out of the room, locking the door behind him with a large combination on a keypad. They walked for a while down a dimly lit hallway and towards another room. As they walked, Sookie couldn't stop thinking about what Bill had just told her.

"I still can't believe I'm a fairy," Sookie said, looking up at him.

Bill gave her a half-hearted smile. "Actually, Sookie, there's more to it than that. You're not just a fairy."

"What do you mean?" Sookie asked, furrowing her brow in confusion.

Bill frowned gravely. " You have a unique ability that makes you incredibly valuable to vampires."

Sookie's heart was pounding in her chest. Her mind was racing with other thoughts "What ability?"

"Your blood," he said with some finality. "It's incredibly potent. It has the power to allow vampires to walk in the sun."

Sookie felt her jaw drop. "What? That's impossible!"

"It's true," he said. "Your blood is highly coveted by vampires. It's why you've been in danger for so long. It's why I had to protect you." He finally stopped at another door entering a series of numbers into the keypad with vampiric speed, the latch clicked and he opened the door, motioning her to come inside.

Sookie felt a wave of fear wash over her. "What am I going to do?"

"We'll keep you safe," Bill said reassuringly. "And we'll teach you how to control your powers. With our help, you can harness the full extent of your fairy abilities."

Sookie nodded slowly, still reeling from the revelation. "Okay. What do we do now?"

"Follow me," Bill said, leading her toward a large table inside the room. "We need to run some tests on your blood. It's important that we understand exactly how your blood works."

Sookie hesitated for a moment, but Bill's reassuring smile put her at ease. She followed him into the lab, where she was strapped down to the table and had several vials of blood extracted from her by a dark-haired man in a labcoat who appeared fearful of looking in her or Bill's direction. Avoiding direct eye contact with every movement.

As Bill watched the tests being performed, Sookie began to feel uneasy, dizzy, and unsure of these next moments. "What are you going to do with my blood?" she asked finally.

Bill turned to look at her, his expression turning cold. "We're going to synthesize it," he said. "It's a highly valuable commodity, Sookie. And we intend to make the most of it. It's literally a drug"

Sookie's eyes widened in horror. "You can't do that!" she protested. "I'm a person, my blood is not for you to synthesize, turn into drugs, or whatever it is you plan on doing with it!" she strained

Bill just laughed. "You don't understand, Sookie. This is the way of the vampire world. And you're just a means to an end."

Sophie Ann's heels clicked as she sauntered into the room and dropped her fangs, Sookie's cousin, Hadley in tow.

Hadley gave a sad nod to Sookie as she stood behind Sophie Ann. "Well isn't this lovely". She hummed walking over to Sookie who at this point was teetering on the brink of consciousness.

Sookie struggled against her restraints, with her last reserves of energy but it was no use. She was trapped, and there was nothing she could do to stop Bill or Sophie Ann from exploiting her powers for their own gain.

Her head lolling on the table, she finally drifted into unconsciousness. She needed to sleep.

Sophie took one of the vials from the man in the lab coat, drinking it down with ease. She demurely wiped the corners of her mouth as her undead eyes appeared to dilate. "Compton, this is delightful, these are drugs you should try". she laughed.

Chapter End Notes:

I've also decided to update and correct errors in older chapters. Since I've started adulting, I think the stories should too.
