An interesting premise. Will she really kick her sister out? Not a very likeable trait in your heroine. Still, I am curious to see how she will evolve over time. oh, btw, is abotion not an option? And who is Mo's baby-daddy? Sounds like both have a lot of growing to do.

Reviewer: bookbutterfly SignedI had to read the reviews to 'get' that the hero just went into the house to talk to our girl. That didn't come across so clearly, as THE significant twist of this chapter.
All the same, I like your set up very much, and wonder how you're going to get the wallflower to come out on top, with this bunch of frenemies.
As another reviewer also wrote, she comes across as low self-esteem. I dunno if you have locs, but the women with locs that I know, even if they are thoughtful and introverted have a very high self-esteem and consider themselves attractive outside the social 'norm.'
Maybe Sasha could win a session with a professional loctician, who can help her style her locs more attractively. That would do wonders for her self-esteem. Because I'm not seeing her embrace her femininity and the beauty of locs (Google Chescalocs, to see what I mean). And it's sad that she's not getting that from her 'friends.'
Thanks for your review! Actually, that was just that readers interpretation of the events. I was not trying to convey that he purposely went into the kitchen to speak to her. Also, I purpposely wrote Sasha to have low self-esteem; I don't think having locs is really indicative of high self-esteem. There may be some correlation but locs may not actually be the cause. I have locs myself, but the primary reason I did get them in high school was in reaction to my having low self-esteem. That's not the case anymore, but I do still get reactions from 'friends' about how they think straight hair is prettier and more feminine.
With Sasha always being surrounded by friends who are considered more beautiful than her, though she may not think she herself is ugly, she does compare herself to them constantly and that causes her to lose faith in her own worth. As the story progresses, I'm hoping to show how she begins to embrace her own feminity. But thanks again for your review and analysis. I always like to hear other's opinions. Please, keep reading! :-)

Beck hates his job. His model boss, Heather, is a complete bitch. The only upside to working there is looking at her in the little shorts stomping around the house. However Beck's luck on the job just may change when the opportunity arises to tame the beast.
As this is only chapter 2= early days, I assume he's in for a rude awakening next morning. He needs to stand firm with his resignation. That's some shrew she's gotta tame..

Excellent story, but truly painful in parts - waiting for the character to develop and get over her very complicated issues.
I like your story coz it's a fun romp of a read - silly and insanely funny - a little bit soap-operaish, but it's all good. I only wish you had taken the time to describe the look on Drew's face when Alex showed up behind our girl!You have a good feel for comedy, so go for it.
I don't mind that the chapters are so short, if you update frequently. If you take longer, then I would appreciate a bit more length and care with the grammar. Specifically, you might need a beta reader, to catch the common errors that your spell-check won't catch (eg. they're, there, their). Hope that doesn't down your vibe. Keep being creative and I'll keep reading.

Why can't she just say that Clint is dying, and let the chips fall where they may? Why does Rockelle have to be such a control freak (withholding info) when she has clearly raised the girls to be open with each other? The fact that she grills them on what they were talking about as soon as she comes into the room - well, it's not my style of parenting, but she should be consistent with the openness, if that is what she demands of them.

Is it just my inbred paranoia, or are these ladies naive, or are you just dragging out the logic train before one of these lady scientists figure it out that these aliens have requested 'clever' human women with which to breed? Why the secrecy? Will we meet and learn the story of that human pioneer who birthed so many daughters for their leader?
